Dem some crispy Gundams! Man I remember when Bloodlines was like $60 and I wouldn’t even pay that back then! Values are going nuts. That game shop looked like it had its poop together. I love seeing a bulk trade bringin big credit like that. And thanks again for the massive shoutout tonight! I can’t thank you enough for that and the kind words. Keep rockin, buddy!
Yeah I recently got a Gameboy Advance from a friend and I wanted to collect Castlevania games for it but they're way more than I want to pay so I'm going to hold out and try to find them in the wild.
Scrapland is from the same developer that did the Alice games. Madness Returns was the only console release, although it’s online pass (now free) contained a port of the original PC game also.
It’s funny how we all watch different things I used to watch small waters a kid love that show. The girl on the front cover if I remember right it was a robot named Vicky.
Riiiiiiiiiiick!!!!!!! Sub rebellion on PS2 is awesome. You passed that one up unless you have it already…..No no nostalgia glasses I only played it a year ago. Unique and awesome
Me: I got twelve Switch games, sealed N64, sealed special edition PS4, and a special Pokemon Game Boy Color! Oh, and also a Gamecube with two controllers! Gamestop: Best we can do is 20 bucks
Small Wonder was an unusual show, but loved it as a kid. It was about a scientist who invented a robot girl and tried to pass her off as the daughter To be fair, TONS of 80’s shows had an unusual “hook”, and a robot daughter isn’t any more weird than one about aliens or magic
No idea about Scrapland but American McGee is the guy who did the really dark (and underrated as hell) Alice in Wonderland games. Since there's a new game in that series going into development relatively soonish, you could probably wait to sell Scrapland once Alice Asylum is official and up the price beyond that 18-20 if you intend to sell. American McGee/Alice stuff can go for a pretty penny.
If you have games that aren't worth enough to sell individually on Ebay, put them together in lots of 20 or 25 and sell them. You'll get way more than trading them in to a game store. Your store there does seem to be more generous than most though. My local store would have probably given you $150 for all that...$200 at the very most.
I would absolutely go the trade-in route. Not only does it save a crazy amount of time, but it supports a local business that has the space to sell them.
best guess is you are initially right about the pronunciation of ''Ristar'. The back of box calls him a ''Rising Star'' So it makes sense he is pronounced similarly
Rick! Man I saw that Small Wonder DVD and about had a heart attack. Sep 7th 1985 is the day that show first aired. Sep 7th 1985 happened to be my 10th birthday. I had a birthday party at McD's with all my friends it was a Saturday. But I knew that later that day Small Wonder was coming on. My friends were begging me to come outside and play I ended up talking them into coming in and watching Small Wonder. It became a weekly thing from then on. I loved the show back then and love it now! And...congrats on almost 100k, it is coming soon ya need what 5-600, I have told so many ppl about your page, 80's and early 90's is my era for sure. Can't wait for 100k such a huge moment for any youtuber foe sure. God Bless Rick and keep on entertaining us, ya have a fan foe life right here.
Holy smokes… I finally caught up and finished watching all 70 episodes of this series. I’m so stoked to be caught up! I’m absolutely loving the series. Thanks for sharing all this awesome content with us. Wish our goodwills and flea markets had this type of amazing finds!
At the local second-hand games store (part of the CEX chain here in the UK) I think I'd have got about $30-$40 value if I'd traded that stack. Trading stuff in here is pretty much always a huge loss.
I wish I had a place like that around here that would give top dollar for crappy games. All we got is gamestop and a game exchange the next town over. Everything in middle Tennessee is going down hill for collecting. Good for u great video
Murr is awesome!!! I laugh every time I watch his videos. I love when he goes full Micro Machine man and talks super fast. By the way, in the pawn shop I saw a copy of GTA V on the wall loose. If it was for 360, that's a quick and easy gamestop flip for $8.80 or more. That is, if it had both discs inside, which usually they don't... haha
Earlier this summer I traded in a bunch of stuff for Rescue Rangers 2. Then I went back, traded in a bunch more stuff and got Cool World, Dragon Warrior III and a few $40-50 NES games. It's a great way to get rid of stuff quick, it helps your local store and you get games you actually want.
I have a bit of a story with scrapland on the Xbox, my little brother rented an Xbox game from blockbuster (Remember when that was a thing 🤣) We got home opened up the case of what we thought would be a Star Wars game and there was scrapland. It was the wrong disk 😂 Blockbuster was already shut, so we couldn’t go back on the day and get the correct disk. So we tried it out, and to our surprise it was actually a pretty solid fun game 🤣 So good that the next weekend we went back and rented it for real.😁 Fun times! I’d love to find a copy of that game to play and revisit the memories 😂 Good find bro!👍
Back 10+ years ago when I was frequent on nintendoage, those idiots always frowned about reselling. I was always like "how the hell am I supposed to afford this crap" though this was back when little Samson was 75 bucks, but still. I didn't just have 75 bucks sitting around. Plus, it was all part of the fun of collecting. Go resale'n, or yard sales, buy stuff to keep, and stuff to flip, and then use that money to buy more to keep. It was great.
What has always been hang up for me is with store credit you get 15% more but most of the prices are at the top level of what you find on eBay. With the cash could I spend that on games that I could profit 4x on be better than %15. Though it does support the store and keep the option for a place to buy/sell. I just wish the stores were a little under eBay maybe still make $10 on the flip little meat left on the bones or sale days where you can find the $5 games worth 50.
I been trading games and game systems that are multiples or I just didn't want them multiple times this year grabbed things I want in my collection like ceramic white ps2 slim cib modded original xbox console with the original Microsoft HD av pack and brand new mario switch console so yeah trading in games is great
Been following Emceemur for awhile now, a really cool dude for sure. I've been selling stuff from my collection that I've bought dirt cheap back in the day and other items around the house and been knocking off some of the pricey NES titles this year. It's the only way to do it.
I just flip lots for the collection and I don't even bother listing things that are under $10 anymore. It's become a full time hobby but is still just a hobby for me and want it to be fun. Every few months I will take a whole back seat full of stuff to some local stores and get like $500-1000 in credit and just grab a bunch of heavy hitters I need for the collection. It's nice to get a good relationship going with the owners of the your local stores if you do this a lot. I'm able to just send a quick picture to have them tell me what they don't want and do the input myself for a price quote and just drop it off and not have to wait around. I only really add to the collection from lots and the bit of profit in the "fund" so it's always super fun to get some higher end titles this way all in one go a few times a year. GB/C/A and PS1/2 are my favorite consoles to collect for and I'm missing a lot still so I wouldn't have been able to pass up those crispy Gundam games as they're quite uncommon and bound to go up before too long.
I started my own 10 dollar game collection so far so good . you are a inspiration to me because it shows that now in this day and age game collecting is still alive for sure . I've already met some amazing people and the memories ive made jumping up and down saying omg look what I found to random games I found for 1 dollar at the thrift 😂😊
Dude, Ristar was my game when I was a kid. I had a VHS recording of me that Blockbuster made where they asked me questions about my fav game and what not. I was very confident in saying Ristar was a fav game as a kid. That and Aero Acrobat.
Small Wonder is one of my favorite guilty shows. Season 1 was a great find, however season 2 would've been an even better find! Maybe be on the lookout for that next time.
Man if I knew about your channel sooner and what you looked for, I would have sold you my complete castlevania bloodlines for much cheaper than that crazy price. Which, funny enough, the guys I sold it to, are selling it for that same price. I traded it straight up for paper Mario on gamecube. Never was a fan of bloodlines but knew I had something to hold on to. Also sold tmnt hyperstone heist for 80 at the same time, complete as well. Oh well. Hope you enjoy the games.
Thanks to your channel, over the weekend purchased 4 ps1 games, 3ps2 games, and 1 Xbox game for $6 All worth 20-50 on eBay with the best 2 considered the “free ones” in a FREE BOX
My goodness! I’m getting sticker shock from that Castlevania Bloodlines game! I’m a HUGE fan of the series, and I remember buying that back in the day it was brand new. Great finds and what a heck of a credit you got from that massive amount of games and accessories!
Just got caught up with the series! Loved watching it develop from the start. My thrift stores sell games for $5-$10 so flipping games is very hard! Had to start doing movies. Thanks for the inspiration to give it a shot!
That's actually really awesome to find for store credit like both Ristar and Castlevania Bloodlines love this game on Sega Genesis and River City Ransom on NES great beat em' up game. Great video man.😉👍
Great video. I would have gotten all 3 of those games at those prices. You definitely picked two gems for your collection. River City Ransom is also a solid title.
Well the thing is they have to know if they can sell them games. If it was GameStop it would be different but since it's a local place they only gave you so little because it's not like they have millions of dollars in budget like GameStop
Those Batman and Robin vhs’s are my childhood favorites, just recently found 4 out of the 6 they made for $1 each. Nice find there I had to search for awhile till I found them
Rick, even with the amount of downsizing you did in this video, I can foresee you needing a gaming basement very soon lol. Collections grow so quickly! XD
Random thing I noticed, but inside the Xbox Spiderman case there's a sticker that has "A113" written on it which is the classroom number the older animators who graduated from CalArts would put into their movies over at Pixar, Disney, etc.
I don't understand why collectors get things they will never use or play? "Hey I got this game here for 15 years! But I've never played it! It just sits there!" I would invest in an rpg cuz they hold there value.
Thanks for watching y’all! Also let’s go support EmceeMurs Channel! ruclips.net/user/Emceemur
Whoa!! That wasn't how I was expecting this episode to start! LOL Thanks so much for the shout out my dude!! That means a lot.
There's a sweet gamestop trade in deal going on right now. 50% trade in credit boost if you trade in 5 games or accessories!
You missed 101 dalmations right whenyou grabbed those games
And saw movies for whatever reason sell for a lot
Been subscribed to EmceeMur for quite a while now! Awesome of you to give him a shout out!
It's crazy to watch these old videos back knowing that you end up owning that beautiful game store. It's been a blast watching your journey man!
Yeah and now he has to struggle with the same low tier games he sold them. AGAIN lol. Went full circle.
bruh this video was like 2 months old when u left this comment 😂
I loved going in there when I lived in Conway! I did a lot of business with them. They were always the most fair on trade ins.
Dem? You mean them?
If we wanna get really technical, I suppose I mean “those are”…. Lol
The fact that you end up owning Game Point is wild dude! The adventure to get to that point is such a cool watch! Congrats!
One of my fav RUclipsrs out there! You have come a long way for sure! Happy for you
Scrapland is from the same developer that did the Alice games. Madness Returns was the only console release, although it’s online pass (now free) contained a port of the original PC game also.
Yes Rick! Let’s go! Recently found a jungle green n64 and 4 jungle green controllers for $40 on Facebook market place. Un heard of! Great vid.
That’s basically gold now a days
I love that strategy to get rare high dollar games. Love your videos!!
@@iamelcapitan right? I was literally shaking when I met up with the person lol, I feel like I was doing a crime because this deal was so good
I've still got mine from a Christmas gift long ago with donkey Kong 64. I'm not selling until it's worth quite a bit more
It’s funny how we all watch different things I used to watch small waters a kid love that show.

That Batman & Robin was actually a great deal, that gamestore had some really decent prices
Yeah that's what I was going to say. A gamestore near me had a complete copy for 150$ not too long ago.

I’m such a big River city Ransom fan. I have my 10yo playing it on DS now.
River City Ransom is one of the greatest side scrolling beat em ups of all time!
Yeah and it's a shame the new one is awful
Final Fight is, without any doubt, number 1!
LOL i know those 2 workers at game point too! game point usually gives great trade credit for your games.
I would absolutely go the trade-in route. Not only does it save a crazy amount of time, but it supports a local business that has the space to sell them.

I would have done the exact same thing and picked up the same two games of the 3 you had there.
I'm amazed that you can sell any of this stuff, the market seems completely dead here in the EU.
Never heard of Scrapland! American McGee also did the excellent Alice Madness Returns for the PS3.
I had a crush on Vicki the Robot from Small Wonder when I was a kod 😅😂🤣. Nice Trades!
At the local second-hand games store (part of the CEX chain here in the UK) I think I'd have got about $30-$40 value if I'd traded that stack. Trading stuff in here is pretty much always a huge loss.
BEHAVE CEX GIVE YOU THAT MUCH LOL THERE SO STINGY NOWDAYS CEX
I cant believe you got rid of all of that for 3 games... Jesus. You had some really good stuff in that pile
I wish I had a place like that around here that would give top dollar for crappy games. All we got is gamestop and a game exchange the next town over. Everything in middle Tennessee is going down hill for collecting. Good for u great video
Small wonder was the late 70s early 80s TV show I didn’t really watch it but I knew my cousins were into it
AH. Small Wonder....flashback. That was one of my favorite shows growing up.
Murr is awesome!!! I laugh every time I watch his videos. I love when he goes full Micro Machine man and talks super fast. By the way, in the pawn shop I saw a copy of GTA V on the wall loose. American McGee was associated with doom II level design and music.
22:00 imagine that you changed your mind after they did all that work they so wouldn’t like you hate all 😂
I have a bit of a story with scrapland on the Xbox, my little brother rented an Xbox game from blockbuster (Remember when that was a thing 🤣) We got home opened up the case of what we thought would be a Star Wars game and there was scrapland. So happy you shouted out emceemur! I’ve seen all of his videos and I agree with you, he deserves way more followers!
Seeing the Gundam games unlocked so many memories
Dude some great gets there and good call and that NES grab at the end! One of my favorites as well!
For some reason, I just think Ristar is underrated and an unborn hero
Back 10+ years ago when I was frequent on nintendoage, those idiots always frowned about reselling. One of my new favourite channels!!!!
Tour and Trades in - in to the store you will one day own. Lol 😂 the circle of life ⭕️ 🦁
River city ransom is one of my all time favorite games. Just picked it up myself
Small Wonder was a cool 80’s show. I had forgotten about that one. 😊
I remember watching small wonder back in the day. Another one of those shows I completely forgot about until now.
Dude please get that Jeopardy on DS, it’s been there for YEARS lol. Take one for the team bro
Jeopardy is definitely good
I liked that game when i was a kid
That's the store from pheonix resales video? ya'll must live close to each other lol can't miss the giant hulk
I been trading games and game systems that are multiples or I just didn't want them multiple times this year grabbed things I want in my collection like ceramic white ps2 slim cib modded original xbox console with the original Microsoft HD av pack and brand new mario switch console so yeah trading in games is great
Hey Rick , I am a fan watching from the UK !!
The Batman double feature DVD near the xbox games was probably worth the $2
I would never carry credit at a mom and pop store you never know what tomorrow will bring. They could be gone. And so can your credit.
16:41 that sonic sign in the top corner is nice.
I also would have got the Godzilla game in that stack. 20:04
Love the videos retro! If you need a home for the Atari system missing the controller I’m your guy. My Atari is missing the power adapter
Damnnn I wish I didn’t live in the boonies lol . Only 1 game store around here . Another great video rick !!

I just recently sold my in box gargoyles awhile back
Those black shelves with the Wii and GameCube games on them look sturdy. Are they a specific brand you would be able to recommend?

Good to see you promoting Mur! Great channel.
Mur-der?
That store looks amazing man! Diverse game selection, love to see it!
I started my own 10 dollar game collection so far so good . you are a inspiration to me because it shows that now in this day and age game collecting is still alive for sure . Solid Video, did the same thing at my local disc replay and got a ton of in store credit to grab some things I really wanted.
Thanks to your channel, over the weekend purchased 4 ps1 games, 3ps2 games, and 1 Xbox game for $6
All worth 20-50 on eBay with the best 2 considered the “free ones” in a FREE BOX
My goodness! I’m getting sticker shock from that Castlevania Bloodlines game! I’m a HUGE fan of the series, and I remember buying that back in the day it was brand new. Great finds and what a heck of a credit you got from that massive amount of games and accessories!
Solid Pics. I love me some good genesis games.
I loved this episode! I’m so happy you got some high end games from a game store finally!
maybe you can buy a blu-ray movie during that pawn shop visit
River City Ransom is bae...❤
I used to watch Small Wonder when I was a kid. That is definitely an obscure dvd set you found!
Great video man.😉👍
Little did rick know he would own the store 1 year later
I loved small wonder growing up in the 80's it was a show about a girl who was a robot/android.
finding a store that gives good credit is hard my local store gives like 30%
Small Wonder used to be one of my favorite shows
Great video. I would have gotten all 3 of those games at those prices. You definitely picked two gems for your collection. River City Ransom is also a solid title.
Thanks for pointing out Ristar! Ive had a copy in my collection and never saw the value!
Hi! I went to trade in 80 games (5-10 dollar games each) to my local game store and they offered me $12 total in store credit lol
they trippin 💀
@@saikou2889 ikr 💀
I would have been hysterically laughing as I carry out my giant bag of games.
@@Sm0k3y707 I basically did.
Well the thing is they have to know if they can sell them games. If it was GameStop it would be different but since it's a local place they only gave you so little because it's not like they have millions of dollars in budget like GameStop
EmceeMurr Rules! He is quite the character!
Some awesome trades man!! I need to take a box of games into my game store soon!
How did they give you 450$ for this??? My local store would have offered 50$ max
Right
Those Batman and Robin vhs’s are my childhood favorites, just recently found 4 out of the 6 they made for $1 each. Nice find there I had to search for awhile till I found them
Awesome possum. Good trade up!
19:32 sure hope those price stickers dont ruin the boxes.
Rick, even with the amount of downsizing you did in this video, I can foresee you needing a gaming basement very soon lol. Collections grow so quickly! XD
99.5k baby! So close!
games stores near me dont even take ps3 or 360 games anymore..on another note scrapland is a legend game its hard to even find a bootleg of that one
My gawd man if I was related to u I'd move in and sleep in that beautiful sanctuary 😍
Haunting is a very very rare game
We don’t have any of your resources here in NYC.. ugh. Would love to do what you do for fun..
Whoa whoa whoa. You live in Conway? 🤣. Randomly came across this video. I guess I can say hey Neighbor 🤣. Just sold my SNES a little while back there.
Random thing I noticed, but inside the Xbox Spiderman case there's a sticker that has "A113" written on it which is the classroom number the older animators who graduated from CalArts would put into their movies over at Pixar, Disney, etc.
