thanks for taking the time.last went to tenerife aged 19,on an 18-30 holiday.i am 55 now and want to go back.
Boy I miss the glass cases with the turning cake and pies in it for sale. I like this place instantly when I see that. Apple Annies in PA, US. Had ten cakes and ten pies with other deserts also made fresh every day. They had the best food also but that was 30yrs ago…lol ,,, looking back 30yrs to remember a great restaurant, how sad for us.
Love this channel, but the intro music sounds more like a hard-hitting current affairs show than a video about food.

I had steak in Fuerteventura ,had to cook it yourself on a volcanic slab of rock. Beautiful . Just salt the rock. This looks lovely

I’d agree I’d of wanted that a bit less cooked. Good price for both. I like the sauces but not the salty potatoes…..I admit to skinning the potatoes to lessen the salt taste…. I know sacrilege 🤣🤣 I like the music, it’s usually spot on. Thank you….another place on the list.😊

"Flavour Town". That mature cheese , 4 cheese sauce sounds off the charts. Really amazing 😍
@@gregevigan Agreed. However, I've played it back on replay .How it is was supposed to " melts in your mouth" with " no pink meat in the middle" I don't know.!?? It looked like a big chunk of chewing gum. Somebody's exaggerating again.
The steak definitely didn't look medium, however as long as it tasted great and you enjoyed it thats all that matters. Overall it still looked great including Mia's pasta. I hope she feels better soon and is able to fully enjoy the trip. Can't wait to see where you end up next. Love your Tenerife videos. 😁💙🏝

I’m glad the steak with potatoes and your daughter’s macaroni and cheese tasted good because watching the video, the food looked somewhat dried out.
However, I still wish it was me eating the food.

Hi DJ just out of interest how would you compare the potatoes 🥔 in Tenerife to the jersey new potatoes…ie farmers say the jersey Channel Islands jersey royal is the best…come to jersey I would be glad to show you the island. Food galore 😮 the potatoes look similar to jerseys ie both islands lots of sea air and sandy soil to plant. They must be seasonal like jerseys.
Cheers for showing us somewhere different DJ my friend lives here but there seems to be the same old places on you tube like Vegas Grill so nice to see a change - plus on the whole I find Del duque and la caletta better quality anyway

Well done steak seriously, could only imagine how good it could have been cooked properly.
Not sure what to make of this one. Food looked great and holidaying in 2 weeks and like to try new restaurants so tracked it down on tripadvisor for a menu and the last 4 reviews are 1 star with raw chicken mentioned in a couple of them 🤔

It is such a pleasure to eat a great meal in a holiday destination. You might look at Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria - there are some knock out restaurants there you would like. Hope the nipper felt better soon.
Didn’t look the best presented plates of food but if they both tasted good that’s what matters.
To be honest you can’t really go wrong with a fillet steak.
The food did not look good and the latest Trip Advisor reviews are pretty damming, ten 1*star reviews from last 11 in English.
Not sure that type of restaurant should be talked about in “best” of anything category
I should mention it was via Darren we booked Chophouse when visiting London and it was magic but maybe try Cantabria (across from Bengal Spice In LC) for a steak DJ, best walk in and book that one.
Hence the question
Presentation was terrible…..ambiance in the restaurant looked zero being empty. Steak looked poorly cooked and that was penne in your daughters meal not macaroni. Overall I’d be gutted eating in there whilst on holiday

Imagine cooking a filet mignon well. It's not the best cut of steak anyway. A nice juicy medium ribeye is perfect.

"Canarian" potatoes are delicious, Most of them come from the UK! The variety is called Maris Peer.

For my taste, the fillet steak was overdone. But we all have our different preferences. I prefer medium rare to rare. Enjoy your time with your daughter at Tenerife.

The establishment shouldn't have a bottle of cleaner hanging behind you. I would have asked them to remove it. The fact that your steak was overcooked is unacceptable. I would have asked them to replace it with one more medium rare. You are paying good money after all.

But to clock the empty tables and chairs And the servers /waiting staff gathering. Could be the start of the best horror film made this year. Such a pity that Mia is feeling under the weather.
