Jooyeon has to be one of the best if not THE BEST in 4th gen. For ME, he’s the best I’ve ever heard. One thing I noticed is that, his singing voice is very very different from his talking voice. And that just tells us that he’s good at manipulating his voice to fit different songs or parts of the song. His ability to flip between chest voice to head voice and falsetto is incredible! he makes it look so easy but it’s really hard and it takes a lot of practice. And it sounds even better when he sings live. Normally, it’s the other way around in kpop. And then comes my favorite thing. Vibrato. His vibrato is very clear and precise I’d say. It’s easier to maintain vibrato when singing lower notes and it’ll get difficult as it goes higher. But the fact that he can go up to D#5 in man in the box with vibrato…. INSANE!

Whenever I listen to, say, Knock Down and then switch over to Haircut it surprises me every time how different his vocal tone and techniques are between the two. He truly is an astounding vocalist and an amazing artist and performer.
omfg i KNOW RIGHT???? i could not agree more??? he is easily my top 3 favorite vocalist & for me to say that already within 2 ish years of his debut is amazing because of course all vocalists have room for growth and they adapt new styles and techniques as years pass on but OH MY GOD??? this man is INSANE also i would love to EMPHASIS on his specific technique from their tomboy cover, THAT WAS MADNESS

All of them deserve more recognition, and it’s time that their careers really blossom.
When XH debuted Jooyeon's voice didn't really stand out to me and i really didn't think he was a main vocalist...oh how wrong was i lol there's many great vocalist in kpop with unique tone and range but what makes jooyeon stand out to me is his delivery? Like he's such an emotional singer, he feels what he sings. He's very versatile aswell his falsetto is so pretty and sounds effortless and vibrato especially in good enough is just beautiful. I know he joked around singing pirate with 'opera' voice but i really want him to explore that low range more. Of course there's still things to learn and improve with time and experience cuz he's a young guy with rock spirit who likes challenging himself and testing his limits still.
every once a week or so i have a full on mental breakdown about jooyeon's voice more specifically his vibrato it's so clear and precise and perfect i could never i want to be him so bad
He has unique and beautiful voice colour and great vocal technique at the same time. Obviously the best male vocalist in gen4 and one of the best in all Korean music industry.
Most underrated and one of the best bands of all time honestly. All their vocals are so clear and their songs are literally never bad in anyway, most idols/bands have songs that could be changed but xdinary is just spot on
JYPe is just to lucky to have Jooyeon and Jungsu...I know bands really get less traction than idols (who dance) but they deserve to be recognized too. Day6 took it slowly but surely and I am sure XDz will have their spotlight too.

jooyeon is truly a vocal gem. especially after hearing him live, he sings in such a way that commands all your attention and makes you feel the exact emotions he wants to convey. it's crazy to think he is so young and still has so much potential to grow into an even better performer
