All the Lego marvel games are actually super solid and unique experiences
Clerk each one always brings something new to the Table whether it be the Customization or The characters Fighting animations themselves. Felt a little rehashed with some characters in LEGO marvel 2 like Iron man

Blake Gilbert well when you really look at it the Fantastic Four is in the game to some extent just not the main 4 but Other characters like She-hulk and Spider-Man.
I was a little disappointed when I realised that the fantastic four and the X men were not in lego marvel 2. I hope they bring them back for the third installement

The things in the game are not the same as the mcu. Due to this, lego avengers is not an mcu game
The first time I played it took me a while, I few weeks after I finished it I restarted in a new slot and beat it and 2 hours this game is my fav game ever

I actually loved how when you were a speedster, you actually go fast unlike the other lego superhero games where the speedster goed literally slower than everybody else but their legs move quicker.
As someone who loves both Lego and the MCU, I've gotta say that there's something really off-putting about the Lego Marvel games. I don't exactly know what it is about them, but there's something that the other Lego games have that the Lego Marvel ones don't.
Same, they're just not as good as the other Lego games, for whatever reason. I've beaten every Lego game I've played but Lego Avengers just didn't have that special touch, as such, I quit playing after a few hours.
@@MercerVerse I'm glad someone agreed with me. It might be because the Lego style doesn't fit well with the tone of the Marvel movies. Then again, it can work with Star Wars, so why not Marvel?
I think Lego can work with Marvel but it's in the execution, I feel. Lego Marvel Super Heroes, which came out a few years prior, was in my opinion superior and a pretty good game overall. Hell, the open world in Lego Avengers is lazily copypasted from Super Heroes.
I think Lego Avengers just wasn't polished enough. The levels weren't fun, and the voice acting ripped rrom the movies clashes with the cartoony art style, the people who voiced characters in the Lego Marvel Super Heroes games have this art direction in mind and thus the tone of the voices are more in line with what you'd hear from a cartoon show, and ends up fitting the game a lot more.
That's one of the reasons why I personally think Lego Marvel Super Heroes worked for me and Avengers didn't. Which is a damn shame, because I love the MCU and grew up with these movies.

This is my shit. My brother and I combined our allowance to buy this, and it was great. Me and my brother still play this game to this day. Replaying missions, doing stupid weird roleplay stuff, finding gold bricks/red bricks, like, I really loved it, and I still do. We still play it, even after we beat the whole thing several times. I'm 15 years old, and I'm still sitting here, having fun playing a game about superhero Legos. And honestly, it's amazing.
It’s insane how good and passionate the Lego Games are to the comics.
Both Lego Marvel & DC games are so good play.
My least favorite thing about this game, is that they removed the mapping system which made it frustrating to unlock characters

Lego Avengers was actually one of the few Lego games I hated, I'm a huge MCU and Lego fan myself, but the two didn't work together for me, which is weird - I actually loved Lego Marvel Super Heroes but Lego Avengers... Idk, felt off.
I agree. The wacky nature of LMS with the X men and Fantasic four plus original voice acting gave the game a certain charm that was lost in LMA.
This game was my favorite LEGO game up until super villains.

Not only is this game the best MCU video game, it's my all-time favorite game in the world. I fell in love with this masterpiece when it was first offered to me on the Wii U. I beat it a hundred times and would be glad to play it again once my step-dad gets the PS5. I'll even have him Co-op with me for the whole game.

Comic Book Video Game Community Cinematic Universe... That's way too long
As someone who had played the first LEGO Marvel game, I was initially hesitant to the focus on the MCU, worrying it would be detrimental to the character roaster. However, I was really pleasantly surprised: it was not all MCU characters, there were a lot of less known characters or less featured characters, such as Captain Universe, Korvac, Detroit Steel, or Hulk-Killer, among many others. I am not that familiar with the comics, so maybe some of the characters listed are not so unknown, but the roaster really showcased what I love about Marvel (and DC): the colour and the insane variety accumulated across decades. Even on the MCU front, it was surprising to see so many characters which years after this game's release would become a part of the MCU: Moon Knight, Taskmaster, She-Hulk, Devil Dinosaur (though the Moon Girl show is not totally MCU), some others.
The DLC content made me appreciate the character roaster even more and it was great that it included new really fun levels! The Ant-Man might be my favourite, due to having the real Michael Peña voicing Luis.
I still prefer the original LEGO Marvel game, but it is undeniable that this one is really fun, especially as a means to play as even more characters not featured in the original game. Still have not played LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, but I really hope its character roaster explores even further.

Lego marvel superheroes 2 is fantastic, especially with its character Bios and DLC based on New Blockbuster MCU Movies, only let down is deadpool isn't in the game unlike the original. Gwenpool was a character I didnt even know before this game
Eh, I've gone off the Lego games. I've always found them buggy and boring for the most part. In this game, I literally drove out of bounds. No setup, no bizarre steps, just took a car and drove in a straight line.
Honestly this was one of my favorite LEGO Marvel game
really wish there was an infinity saga game with the roster like ua3 and mcu events/levels like this, play imporant moments over and have the ability to go back and play as different characters

It introduced the reality stone. It was a really important movie and I appreciate it's existsnce for at least bringing in one of if not the most powerful Infinity Stone ever. Bad movie or not. It was important.

LEGO Games are really the best movie-tie ins out there nowadays. It's a shame in some ways because they can't do every franchise and they could never really nail the feeling of any specific character or film because everything has that LEGO gameplay coating. Still, I'm glad I have them. They've let me interact with some of my favorite franchises in ways I otherwise would never be able to and they really let me unwind when school or work would get me down.
I just want to thank you so much for your opinion, this will always be my favorite LEGO MARVEL game !

I literally bought this game last month and played it until I had the platinum trophy, no idea why but it was a huge break from the usual shooters and shit that I play lol

I don’t know why, but I like LMSH2 more. Maybe it’s the character roster (because lma had a lot of copy paste characters) or me enjoying the campaign more.
But lma had the best stan lee out of the three lego marvel games.
