    Love this breakdown! It is so simple and true. Everything has a place but we have to be athletic to block pitches. Especially at youth levels

    I always thought one knee was a version of the primary catching position (no one on base). When there's someone on base, gotta use the secondary position. Wider feet, set up to block.

    As a catcher watching these dudes down on one knee is ridiculous.

    This is why you only go one knee down when having a wild pitch doesnt mean anything like empty bases and not 3 balls or 2 strikes. That's it, imo
