Love your videos Johnny, came upon your electronics videos couple days ago and they are BY FAR the most well explained and informative videos I've ever seen. Love the info, thanks and keep it up! The best youtuber on fishing ATM
Jonny, your videos are the best and most informative. I absolutely love the addition of Randy to your channel, he's awesome. I ordered the FTM jigs you just came out with (1 pack of every color). I can't wait for them to get here! Thanks for the incredible content. Keep up the great work!
Jonny, do it, go shallow! Im a shallow fishing guy and Im stepping out of my comfort zone by fishing off shore more. Versatility is the key to success. I like fishing shallow better because I like to read the lake and its structure and weed beds but when they just aren't biting shallow its nice to have off shore to fall back on. Its all personal preference I guess but versatility keeps a day on the water more interesting and successful. I avoided getting skunked the other day by going off shore after they just wouldnt bite in the shallows. Its hot here and there hasnt been much rain. The water temp was 83.5°. I was glad to have the off shore info Ive learned from watching your channel in my toolbox cause it kept me from not catching anything at all that day. Learn all you can from Randy and Randy, learn all you can from Jonny. You will both be so better off for it. Wish I had you both with me on my boat for just a day on my local lake. Oh the info I would gather! I wouldnt even fish, I would just take notes! Lol!!!!!! God bless you both!
I really enjoy your videos. I have learned a lot from you. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you for giving such great effort to help others learn about bass fishing.
You can see the concrete blocks the brush piles are planted in, kinda gives you an idea about how big the brush piles are. The one to the far left landed on it's side. Awesome find Johnny! The person who planted it might be like NOOOOOOOO!!!!! lol
They’re absolutely right about small windows of opportunity. If you only have 2 or 3 hours to fish, it can be a real craps shoot sometimes. I’ve noticed that sometimes I’ll be out just casting for an hour, trying different things, catching very little. Then things will heat up for an hour or so and then go right back to quiet. The other thing I’ve noticed (at least in my area up near Boston) is that bass will often pull WAY UP into cover...sometimes places you wouldn’t think could support them. One of my bigger bass this year was a 5 pounder that was holed up tight in this weird little area about 10 inches deep. When the dog days come, you definitely have to think outside the box sometimes.
Jd Cisz Old school is being experienced, knowledge, time spent, proven and my go to for answers. I would much rather sit down with guys like Randy and pick their brains about fishing.
Great info it's good to mix it up in the summer to shallow water to deep to find more fish it's hard to get a big bag of fish I like shallow water best in the summer time power fishing 🎣🎣 is 😉
I like the videos you do on the old school way of fishing it seems to work now for me anyway I don't have a bass boat but I have plastic boat it works really well for me it called a bass hond !!!
Great job guys have a question for Randy when in the late summer would you slow down for a flip bite or is it better to get the reaction bites Thanks again Tommy
Randy hinted at he do something different the next day. That's good to expand on for both of you. What would you do differently if you were going it the next day?
I have found that fishing those man made lakes in July can be very good my friend took me to a lake and he hade a hard time finding fish and we went all over an had no luck so I noticed something different from every else we were doing so I graft some places I thought were different an rock then I'm not going to tell everyone what I did because I fish tournaments I met randy fishing the FLW as a co-angler he is a great man an friend so here it is this pattern works good on northern lakes I haven't tried it on southern lakes take this pattern and do a video for me to see if it works .here we go I marked low hanging willows next to the spawning areas I mean sallow and deep an rock them caught multiple fish off them but that's works when every else fails.
Kind of random, but how many times a day do you lose baits because they get tangled up in a brush pile or log and you can’t retrieve them? I know this is part of the game but I’m wondering how “normal” it is.
10 inch worms? neko.. but did you try weightless or dropshot.. only 3 i use drop shot.. weightless texas.. and 10 inch worms.. but for me its always a grind on the shore no matter the time of year.. even in spawn here.. since we at lower of aquduct system as soon as bass start to make beds water will raise up with cool water cool down the full lake ect.. my tanks sadly usually come after spawn.. one time i had a rental during a spawn and found a super tank.. i stay on her 5 hours.. and she still wouldnt bite.. sad..i threw everything i had.. she came close a few times but ya.. its crystal clear here i could see all her movements.. she was so brave she never went deep.. either and was basically taunting me.
Why would bass move from deep to shallow in the later, dry months? Maybe the lack of water movement is reducing the oxygen content in water deeper than 10ft? I really want to understand the biology that drives the behavior.
i don't fish for bass, i only fish for trout and that's it. we have a river with loads of bass. me i just fish in the stream for trout and that's it. no other fish but trout.
I tried it. I was able to get them to bite a 1.5oz chatterbait a few days later. They were really picky due to fishing pressure and were even conditioned to a drop shot!
@@FishtheMoment yeah that happens. Sucks. When its like that I've found one of the ways was to dead stick the drop shot. Painfully slow and boring AH lol. But eventually they'd come tap it.
I just moved to Grove OK and am going to put in this afternoon on Grand over by Honey creek for a couple casts. Randy is the bomb!
Great video and good illustration of the 'summertime blues'. Shows the need to be versatile for sure. Thanks for sharing.
i really enjoy the videos you make. there are not alot of anglers that share this level of information so thank you for helping the little guys learn!

He's not "old school"... he's an experienced and proven pro fisherman. This guy forgets more about fishing then I will ever learn.
Jd Cisz Old school is being experienced, knowledge, time spent, proven and my go to for answers. I would much rather sit down with guys like Randy and pick their brains about fishing.

Is that Wolf Creek ramp?
I like Randy on the video now. Joplin boy , cool to see a fellow four stater on the channel. Much love from Moran ks
Could you do a how to find fish without electronics ? Can't afford electronics right now but want to fish on my days off
Mix it!!
Can you use o single hook on a crank bait like the saltwater guys do ?????
Kind of random, but how many times a day do you lose baits because they get tangled up in a brush pile or log and you can’t retrieve them? I know this is part of the game but I’m wondering how “normal” it is.
You kept mentioning fishing Stockton Lake last week. Is there a video from that trip?

Mix it up. You can learn more from your weaknesses than your strengths . Makes for better teaching points. Can't wait
What was water temp
What is ment by "boat Positioning" heard it a few times but do not know.
How you position your boat in relation to spot, wind and structure.
I'm a bank beater, need more content pertaining to fishing that way...
Jonny has a bunch of offshore stuff. Check it out, very good offshore videos
Did I miss the score? What was the tally? 5 fish limit it sounded like Randy got 10-12 lbs and Jonny 5-6?
I think Randy had around 7-9 pounds. Not sure if he even had a limit. I had 2 for around 6 pounds.
Why would bass move from deep to shallow in the later, dry months? Maybe the lack of water movement is reducing the oxygen content in water deeper than 10ft? I really want to understand the biology that drives the behavior.
Thanks for the jerkbait dock tip
I swear FTM just loves offshore, hes an offshore junkie haha
Wish I known about you before I moved from Vilonia to SC I would had like to fished with ya. You ever fished Lake Conway? Keep up the awesome work.
i don't fish for bass, i only fish for trout and that's it. we have a river with loads of bass. me i just fish in the stream for trout and that's it. no other fish but trout.
I agree with you guys. But I've been having better luck on Greenwood lake sc lat at night off RIP rapp
Who won ?🏁
I think Randy had around 7-9 pounds. Not sure if he even had a limit. I had 2 for around 6 pounds.
what pro's don't want to tell you? How do they hide it when the cameras are on-board with all the tourney's?
Dude I wanna win
Ooooh my main lake. Also Grand Lake sucks. All the time... You're lucky to break over 4lb
Night time they almost all go shallow. Fish night time for much bigger fish and a better bag.
Drop shot those off shore fish.
I tried it. I was able to get them to bite a 1.5oz chatterbait a few days later. They were really picky due to fishing pressure and were even conditioned to a drop shot!
