@Mr.Facebox it is!! I feel like they're maybe trying to force us to buy the hardware to use Maschine. Idk. They need to do something about it because many of us will not be purchasing this wanna-be upgrade.
After playing with this and maschine I’m not fussed about the intergration tbh. I think it’s great to split them up tbh you have a dedicated beat making machine with maschine and komplete for everything else.
With logic remote and a $100 used ipad, DAW control is no longer needed. I like the Chord maker the Arturia Keylab Essential has, but I tried a free version of their VST and they sound garbage. The VSTs the NI brings sound really great and I do like the plugin or VST control it has. I also like the LEDs to show where chords or scales are.
@@mkirbymusic yush! My partner got it for me 10 years having the mark 1 this is amazing 🥲 I love that it split from machine because my beats and loops on the machine mk3 can be dedicated.
I’m sorry bro, I’m a Maschine user, Native is missing its mark, especially when it comes to proper integration with Maschine. It’s a no go for me. Tired of waiting for certain implementations of the software. Don’t let Native fool you when it comes to waiting for certain advertised features, their track record of user requested and advertised features takes Native Instruments years to implement. I’ll be waiting years I bet to see serious integration with Protools or Fruity. It’s always a wait with NI. I feel like NI should have done all the work to do all the things that they’re advertising FIRST before releasing the hardware. I get the shock value in-terms of a roll out, but it sounds like they aren’t even ready yet? I just want better from NI, they rushed this. I would have loved a touch screen and drum pads, hell even 8 100mm faders. Too bad they never asked any Native users “Hey what you guys/gals like in a Native controller” ? The results would’ve been wayyyyy better than this. And if they did ask the NI community about this I apologize, I just never saw the post in the NI forum or an email from NI. This isn’t good or great, mediocre (mid) at best.
Great video .
Question : can you turn off any off the scroll/joystick functions in DAW mode? Volume change by scrolling up/down feels a bit risky😦
Your video was very informative !!! I love listening to your view of these products !
Thank you so much!
@@mkirbymusic always happy to see your content !!! Keep it up :)
I'm bummed they took out maschine intergration, but at least they didn't take off mute and solo which I thought. Im happy about that!
I think its absurd they removed compatibility with their own software.

Thanks for the great follow-up and much anticipated video.🤩

This made my day. I know you were singing as you typed it 😂
Nickelback IS a great band and that's a hill I'm willing to die on.
YESSS!!
Did you really say "NFR copy of the keyboard"?? 😂
🤣 good catch. I’m so used to saying it because it’s usually in the context of software. Fine Marco.. NFR VERSION of the keyboard?!
@@mkirbymusic I just thought it sounded too funny 😁
