Marc-Andre Hamelin: Toccata on "L’Homme armé" (Sheet Music)

- This is my first attempt at a sheet music video. I decided to do this piece by Marc-Andre Hamelin because 1): The sheet music for it isn't available on RUclips, and it's a really cool original work 2): I wanted to try something challenging.
While this is not Hamelin's most difficult piece, it is definitely one of his most musically mature and original. I really hope he continues to compose in this style going forward. His harmonic language is quite unique, and he's able to use dissonance very effectively/creatively without it becoming overwhelming. His style is sort of an amalgamation of Scriabin, Gershwin, and Alkan.
This is not my sheet music, I found a PDF scan of it online from someone else (this is why there are all those notes written in pencil). I haven't attempted to play this either, so making this video was actually kinda hard. I don't have perfect or relative pitch so it was easy to get lost in the music at certain points. I know some of the transitions between pages aren't 100% accurate but it should be close enough.
Recording is from Hamelin on CPR in 2018. Pretty sure this all falls under fair use so please don't take this down Hyperion :)

The reason theres no sheet music video of this probably because the sheets are copyrighted. There was a video of the sheets a few years back but it got taken down.

Bro please tell Insomnia to unban me. I think yelena didn't realize i was unbanned. Because I said literally nothing besides that a kinder egg would give insomnia syphillis (which is not against any rules at all), and she banned me. I was 100% on my best behavior... i understand getting banned before. But she was literally waiting for me to say anything that wasn't related directly to zombies.
😆 probably not in the POSITIVITY zone is my guess. I'll try to get him to free you later... if possible. Yelena carries the most mod power, so it may be quite difficult. On a good note, I just watched a short of you playing 🎹.
