My son and I became vegans last summer and I’ve never eaten better! The richness of foods is amazing and so much more enjoyable. I lost 5 pounds in the first week and my energy and focus increased.
I turned to a Whole Foods plant-based diet two weeks ago and I cannot believe how much I love it. Many years I was told no carbs, no carbs no carbs eat meat but the fewer carbs I ate the less healthy I felt. Also, for years now I’ve raised chickens only for eggs, and when they age out of laying, I never cull them but give them a peaceful life, and after observing them doing their natural behaviors and having once had the opportunity to visit an egg factory where 60,000 chickens were kept in horrific conditions helped me make my decisions. My Chickens have different personalities and they trust me so much and their behaviors are so sweet and I’ve trained them to follow me and I give them little snacks and they’re happy little guys and girls. My question is don’t you have to spray ‘crops that we eat to sustain them and how many fewer acres does it take to feed people 100% plants over 100% animal production? Also, I am 100% committed to my new way of eating and it’s wonderful and delicious. I’ve always absentmindedly put butter on all the vegetables and rice that I ate in the past, but now that I don’t use butter anymore, I can’t believe that I can actually taste the food and not the butter. I can eat potatoes and it’s so easy to lose weight and sustain myself. My cravings went away so fast. Peace and love all!
The financial control by the mega wealthy meat and dairy industry would never allow it. Between political lobbying, payoffs, and their army of paid influencers and trolls, they control those policies, even including what the USDA is allowed to report in their supposed "dietary guidelines", when the science clearly says otherwise. $$$$ rules, but the ONLY profit in good health is our own.

I firmly believe this to be true. I have an MSc in Engineering Mathematics. Never listen to journalists or politicians or business leaders, listen to scientists.
the journalists where I live let everyone fall ill and perish before they write a hit piece on an issue. They're complicit - making money off other's suffering - never support anyone that does this. Not every scientist has your heart in the right place - just realize that there's plenty of pharmaceuticals and food scientists there to make food taste better with less nutrition - there's good and bad everyone - so look for the best and support them and we'll all be alright.
So, scientist's can't be paid by politicians or businesses leaders? Someone who knows math, should be good at logic, your claim is false and not logical. The correct form of your message: don't believe in anything, use logic, not belief, ... Only logic solves problems, that's why we discovered it in the first place, ....

Just an incredible documentary. We all need to encourage others to transform their diets to plant based. I am 12 years in on this and it amazes me how meat is such a ADDICTION. Lets also keep this in mind. Well done and beautifully narrated. thank you so much for such an intelligent documentary.
I’ve been on it for two weeks and I cannot believe how amazing it is. Instead of having to fast now I can eat a good breakfast six ancient green cereals with half a cup of organic blueberries and splashes of almond milk and it’s beyond better than eating eggs and bacon and filling. Too
For the infrared heating test I wish they also would’ve added an ice planet sculpture with all of those gases to show how fast it melts even with all of those combined instead of them separate, but do the separate ones, but then do one that has all of them

Amazingly important scientific information. Thank you. About 12 months a Vegan now and information like that can only make me stronger, never want to smell meat or fish again let alone eat it. Only criticism of this film would be a lack of attention to the over riding problem to it all, human population growth. Great to hear A lister Miss Winslet using her fame in such am important way. Can only help the massively naive ways of us destructive and irresponsible humans to do better.
The director of fisheries said that she doesn't get involved in the day to day running of the business, she advises the government but they make the decisions. It is clearly a conflict of interest. And that is where the problem lies. You have big investments there. You want to see and receive profits. When will the money making top people realise that the decisions they are making will impact them eventually and their generations to come 🤔 Start caring, wealth isn't anything if you haven't got health, peace, joy & love.
Seeing the felling of trees in JRR Tolkien’s beloved England’s countrysides during the industrial revolution is what prompted him to write LORD OF THE RINGS.
This movie needs to be aired on major channels like CNN, like the movie Blackfish was. Then, maybe the way people eat will change like the way Seaworld changed and stopped having orcas in its goldfish tanks...I hope this movie can be shown on major media outlets! People need to donate to make that happen, if needed.
WEll Thank God for this film. This is the first time I cold say watching something that made me feel sick was the best thing that happened. I seriously and literally feel ill for future generations. The horrifying things is. I was born in 1969. That means since about 1 years old. I have lived through a 60% decline in animal life. I am speechless. WE are so removed from life, because of our everyday affairs, we are killing ourselves. WE are truly selfish!!. For those who are Christian. The bible says we are to have dominion over the land and animals. THATS MEANS TO CARE FOR!! Even if one is not Christain, it's a no brainer. Im not perfect by far, but we must change immediately! Stop, eat the last bit of meat, and go Vegan. Stop running water wastefully, turn off lights when not in a room, eat vegan and care fro the planet like hopefully we care for our homes or at least better than. WE Must create a new economy and take away subsidies from Farming and use it for plant farming.
I'm not a Christian but looking a the religion I was always baffled how at least vegetarianism wasn't an integral part of Christianity. If I remember correctly, god gave nepesh to ALL creatures. And wasn't Lucifer banished for his pride and thinking he was better than humans? Aren't people doing the same to animals? If I had a kid who was smaller, weaker, maybe not as smart as my other kids, I would still love him equally and would expect my other kids to treat him with kindness, love and respect. Not to abuse and kill him. One would think that a god that is pure love would also equally care for his 'lesser' creatures and extend his love and mercy to everyone, including animals. Isn't it our moral duty to care for the weakest ones? It sort of sickens me how poorly most Christians regard and treat animals.. Francis of Assisi became a saint for his treatment of animals. Why is it so hard for other believers to at least be kind and compassionate towards them?
The problem is that all cultures through out the world accept being an Omnivore as a normal aspect of life and most people probably view Veganism as radical. Changing that mindset is going to be very difficult if not nearly impossible.
I get laughed at. But I don’t care. Oh sorry for those that don’t understand and appreciate what I do and maybe they should try it out themselves. We’ve been brainwashed by media and our government.
Infinite growth with finite resources is not sustainable. This will not end well. Melting ice caps, mass agriculture, oil consumption, population overgrowth, strained fresh water resources, microplastics, nuclear waste, antibiotics overuse, massive and more frequent storms, ocean dead zones, areas to hot to live in. There is just too much for us to overcome, even if we wanted to. We are doomed. If you have kids, apologize to them. If you dont have kids, dont have kids.
Hey, Jeremy Rifkin is here, the guy that used to talk down to everybody, getting in their faces, telling us that Europe was going to have a smart power grid, and that windmills in Scotland were going to produce power for Germany! Not really. The U.S. blew up Germany's NG pipeline and ruined their economy. Rifkin has switched to a different subject, just so he can be right about something, for once.
Main stream media is owned by corporations. Who own animal agriculture? Corporations. They will NEVER betray another company, when they could easily have backlash of other media companies then going after them. The ONLY 'media channels' that may cover this, are ones that aren't heavily in to meat eating themselves or the ones that actually want to do their jobs and don't have someone telling them no, you can't do it. We'll see if places like TYT here on YT cover it. Keep in mind, the vast majority of people are meat eaters and only really change their view when enough other people change. So we're just picking off all the 'out-siders' at the moment. Once we hit 20+%, then you'll start to see things change much quicker. We're getting there!

This is so depressing. I've been vegan 3 years, but my family are all meat eaters. They basically think anything they do isn't going to make a difference, so why bother?
that’s easily addressed by comparing to crime. for example, murder and rape, for example, will always exist across the world, but that does not give us license to commit those crimes against people because of crime’s general existence. it also matters to the individuals who get hurt, the victims, if someone chooses to engage in those behaviors
Did they make sure the cows were not eating grain? It looked like dung straw that they were eating from the trough. Grasses are cows natural food; they should not get gas burps/farts from but they will from grain. Were the humans filming being tested? Is that amount over and beyond the norm? It looked like to me that it was just cold and everything exhales warm air, no cause for alarm. Test the humans for how much methane they put out.

Can somebody please start disseminating this information to the Spanish community. It’s like every vegan information goes out of its way to not be translated for Spanish. I can find practically every vegan documentary in almost every language but Spanish. Seems like a huge oversight since they’re the second biggest population in this country
Great documentary!❤, But it forgot to mention overpopulation. If we truly want to address the problem as a whole, birth control should be at the top of the agenda. 🐦⬛🌺🐦🌻🐬💚
Why did no one ever address the elephant in the room?! There are simply too many of us!!! Less people = less need for food and resources. Why is this never ever mentioned?!
@@JayScully-vp8sm If there was less of us we could eat what we want! I'm sure driving creates way more carbon than eating. Let me guess..... you're a vegan?
Just makes me think of people that say well why don’t we give relief to these people to help them so that we don’t have to waste all those resources and animal agriculture, industries, and commercial farming industries because that’s where all of what that relief resources is going to if we could stop funding these horrid industries that are not only devastating our planet, but devastating, our health, devastating, forest, oceans, glaciers, you name it it’s affecting it if we could stop subsidizing these industries all of that money and resources can go to providing relief when these events do happen. The only reason they’re happening more now is because of the fact of the leading driver of climate crisis, which is animal agriculture and commercial fishing we need to end those practices implement plant-based ones and stop living in the past just because that’s how we used to do. Things doesn’t mean that’s how we have to keep doing that and it’s clear by the signs that earth herself is telling us and has been for a very long time that the way we’re eating the smallest easiest thing to change is the one that is wreaking the most havoc on our planet given to us to live on on.
HISTORY SIDEBAR: Brussels, Belgium received their first rubber from plants in the Congo. Where hundreds of thousands of natives were FORCED into harvesting rubber. If the natives did not comply then their hands, or feet or both would be chopped off (no First Aid), and sometimes women’s breast, and often times women and children were kept hostage to force the native men to meet a quota.
Because redwoods are extremely resistant to insects, fire, and rot, they are treasured for building and 95% of them have been cut down since the 1850s 26. According to one estimate, the stands of century-old forests now account for only 7% of forest cover in the United States (USDA-FS 2000).
I would like a copy of this video to make smaller video clips and share with my family, students, community, social media, and wherever I can promote the significance of what is happening to the environment due to our consumption of animals and poultry, and even milk products.
✝ Revelation 11:18 [KJV] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
@@rondarkman. Best if you catch it yourself and eat it raw like a TRUE CARNIVORE. None of the wussy cooked stuff. Get out there and bite into a living, struggling animal, and devour it alive like a lion!
@@rondarkman. People have caught me biting into a whole apple, peeling bananas and eating them raw. Nuts and seeds, too. Even salad. Ask yourself if our closest animal relatives, the herbivore great apes graze on the ground. No. They use their hands to pick their food. So, get get yourself some raw liver and eat it bloody. Derp!
So what they should do is have farmers LEARN how to farm in veganism, so they don't lose their livleyhood etc If you give them an essentive of learning saying perhaps they'll learn this tradeof farming in veganism such as veggies etc, then they can learn to start a new.
Have we learned nothing from Easter Island small scale extinction!!!!! Now I grow my own meat responsibly and lovingly. They taste better the more you love an animal 😜
That‘ s so cruel. How can you kill the animals you raised up? They trusted you and don‘ t forget - animals have souls, feelings and suffer like me and you
The thing is people have to work and make a living. Even if you cut down meat, diary and fish by only 25% many people would be out of a job and then what would they do? If a program of reforestation starts or ocean clean up - that would be great to hire all those that lost their jobs but what about pay? Would it be equal? Its very sad- but its because everyone needs a job and everyone needs to make money to live.
The world will still need food, still need sources of protein. Big meat producers such as Tyson and Cargill have recognized this and started working on plant-based "meats" etc. People can learn new ways to make a living, and for those whose jobs are in the horrific factory farming and meatpacking industries, it would be so much kinder to them.
@@Dogstarz505 I understand and agree with you but its very easy to say someone can learn a new job or skill but it doesn't always workout like that. I would really like to know what happened to all the highly skilled workers that were working on the Keystone pipeline when Biden shut it down. Where did they go? Did they find jobs that paid equal or less or more? - I would hate to learn a new job, so if it happened to me I would be upset.
And what about the stonemasons that made castles? The fact is that farmers have been made almost obsolete already by modern technology and there's less of them than ever. Switching to growing plants instead of animals will be much less of a change than they've already seen in the past 50 years alone. @@lebleb9501

that’s easily addressed by comparing to crime. for example, murder and rape, for example, will always exist across the world, but that does not give us license to commit those crimes against people because of crime’s general existence. it also matters to the individuals who get hurt, the victims, if someone chooses to engage in those behaviors
A film about the catastrophic extinction people face and you have Richard Branson on it - the man behind Virgin Atlantic ffs?!?! Please explain why that's okay as if I'm a five year old.

Steaming to find the documentary here in the USA.
Found it on Tubi!!!
So it's free too!!
Great film, very educational. Could’ve done without the puss scene.. Fortunately, I’m already vegan.
Can somebody please start disseminating this information to the Spanish community. It’s like every vegan information goes out of its way to not be translated for Spanish. I can find practically every vegan documentary in almost every language but Spanish. Seems like a huge oversight since they’re the second biggest population in this country
We will ask about the translations! ASAP
i know there are some volunteering and possibly even paid positions for translating within this sphere
it takes a backbone and putting gtz in an infirmary.
Great documentary!❤, But it forgot to mention overpopulation. If we truly want to address the problem as a whole, birth control should be at the top of the agenda.

That's right wing bs, if we switch to a plant based died we could feed billions more.
👍🏼👍🏼
Damn, this is crazy. Vegan forever.
eat seaweed for vegan omega 3
Why did no one ever address the elephant in the room?! There are simply too many of us!!! Less people = less need for food and resources. Why is this never ever mentioned?!
Maybe because the solutions are unthinkable . Culling ? Mass sterilisation ? Who's going to advocate things ?
No its not the population , its literally our eating habits
@@JayScully-vp8sm If there was less of us we could eat what we want! I'm sure driving creates way more carbon than eating. Let me guess..... you're a vegan?

Bummer ! Would love to watch this but audio is so low, I can't hear. Dang.

Been plant based for 15+ years but still have a little amount of dairy produce-not great but also fast 2 days a week
HISTORY SIDEBAR:
Brussels, Belgium received their first rubber from plants in the Congo.
Going vegan is the bere minimum 🤍🌱
Only a United Planetary World Government will be enabled to save Humanity from it's downfall.
Let's develop such proposal to the United Nations.

I would like a copy of this video to make smaller video clips and share with my family, students, community, social media, and wherever I can promote the significance of what is happening to the environment due to our consumption of animals and poultry, and even milk products.
Hahaha humanity is doomed LOL
Repent! For the day of the Lord is at hand!
✝ Revelation 11:18 [KJV]
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Only save the Earth enough for 1 billion years. The sun will boil the ocean.

Sweet enjoy meat
@@rondarkman. Best if you catch it yourself and eat it raw like a TRUE CARNIVORE. None of the wussy cooked stuff. Get out there and bite into a living, struggling animal, and devour it alive like a lion!
@@artvsmachine
Do you eat potatoes and carrots from the ground?and graze on plants?
Do you think they feel loved when you kill them? Would you want to be killed like that?
That‘ s so cruel. How can you kill the animals you raised up? They trusted you and don‘ t forget - animals have souls, feelings and suffer like me and you
anyone BUT trump!!!! then get on the democrates to move on this issue!!! also we urgently need to Tax (and Not subsidize) all forms of pollution!
It‘s better to do any job than working in a slaughterhouse or on these huge animal farms
Thats why they made synthetic meat legal
And what about the stonemasons that made castles? The fact is that farmers have been made almost obsolete already by modern technology and there's less of them than ever. Switching to growing plants instead of animals will be much less of a change than they've already seen in the past 50 years alone. @@lebleb9501
