Welcome back Ladies and Gentledudes.. In this episode.. I tackle FAKE FRAGS..
We are all looking for a great deal.. For a great price. In this tragic episode, I examine a two bottles of Tom Ford Lost Cherry that I picked up off of eBay for a steeply discounted price. I did loads of research to determine if these were fakes or not.. This video is the result of that research.
PSA: Fragrances, colognes and the like are considered luxury items. With this in mind, there will always be counterfeiters out there, looking for those that want discount luxury. Many times, these fragrances will be boxed cheaply (although these weren't) or will not contain the correct ingredients to completely recreate the original fragrance. To save yourself time and energy, save your duckets and buy authentic.

I thought I caught a steal on Mercari for a 100ml bottle. Did my research and found that the seller sold me a “100ml bottle” with a barcode under it for the 50ml bottle of Lost Cherry. I didn’t even know that fake fragrances were a thing. Stuff like this makes me want to not even indulge in fragrances anymore.

Thanks for the video!! Very helpful. I just got mine today (ebay) you assumed real Lost Cherry has a one of those theft proof barcode things on the INSIDE of the box-mine was in the outside plastic packaging. Is this a red flag?
Hello Kimberly! None of the Tom Ford fragrances I've purchased in-store have had the theft tag inside the box, so it being on the outside wouldn't be outside of the realm of ordinary.
Well what about the juice and smell? Did they last? Do they smell authentic ?

@@toyetaniel5272 The fragrance assumed to be real has approximately 2 hrs of projection and lasts for about 3 hrs. It smells authentic and I definitely wear this one out (pleasant on the nose; subtle, yet very noticeable when close).

People pay $50 for $300 cologne and are surprised that it’s fake 🤣🤣
Thank you for the video. I have the impression that both of the "lost cherry" items you have there are not authentic. And definitely you have mixed the boxes:) The box on the right is a much better copy of the original than the box on the left. Would be more helpful to compare the two atomizer cups as well. Hello FCC, according to checkfresh.com (a website that allows consumers to check batch codes) that is a legit batch code. The production date is listed as 08-2019.
I’m curious, do you find that these fragrances are safe to wear on skin? I have one I know is a fake, which is fine with me because it smells lovely. My only concern is safety.

But what does it smell like?
The fragrance assumed to be real smells ok, but it has started to become more suspect with time. The cherry notes really pop, but fade rapidly.
Compare lost cherry to lost cherry only!
Dude your soleil blanc bottle shouldn’t come in that type of boxes

It smells significantly weak as the base notes begin to kick in. It was definitely a lesson in online purchasing..
I have real lost cherry and fake and they smell the same. The fake just doesn’t last as long
