It is time to move toward a truck camper after selling my 46 foot Toy hauler. After searching through other manufacturers, studying the reviews, I narrowed it down to 2 campers. After getting questions answered by great customer service, watching RUclips instructional videos, and comparing the quality and craftmanship, Northern Lite wins hands down. Just wish the camper had a panoramic view. GREAT TRUCK CAMPER!!!
Thank you for the kind words Kraig! Hope to see you in a NL soon!
LOOK at the battery compartment. NEEDS A PULL OUT TREY !!! I own a norther lite and I'm shocked on how hard it is to put a battery in. Well, I can't. Love my camper though.
We have a 10-2 on the June build list. Can't wait to get it, in fact when the dealer calls for pick up, we are grabbing it and hitting the road with it awsome truck camper in our opinion, and great choice in truck...thats what sealed the deal,as we have the same truck, when the sales guy gave us the brochure on the camper and we saw the truck it was sitting on we knew it was a done deal😀
Feedback since you got it?
My absolute favorite 4 season truck camper!
I am looking forward to ordering a 2022 8-11 SE dry bath. These look amazing. Wish you all had more dealer options in Alaska.
Northern lite is a great quality product with beautiful interiors! Awesome! Might your r value increase with a different foam choice? Did you ever do a blower door test outside in cold weather right an infrared gun like a home energy audit to test for conductive and convective heat losses?
Thanks so much and best wishes for 2022!
Through over 30 years of experience we use the foam we do for the best weight to warmth ratio. Our structure is thoroughly tested.
Would love to see what truck models you recommend per camper model. Ford, GMC, Toyota, etc.
All of our campers are built for 3/4 ton and up. Ford, GMC, Chevy and Dodge.
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers Thank you!
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers SOOOO great to know this!!! Gosh, it would be so nice to have that info more readily available. Thank you.
*Love this question.... Yes.... Good to know. 😁😁😁* Sharon in SC
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers what about Toyota?
What’s the difference between the dry and wet bath options?
Do the windows open like the insulated acrylic type that open wide enough for true ventilation?
We use both the acrylic and the glass windows. The glass does not open as wide as the acrylic but they open up more than enough to ensure excellent ventilation.
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers ok thanks
Any news on the borealis?
Put in pricing.
Can you provide a “Basement” to fit on Dodge5500/F550 Flat beds? (Storage bins just like ABS REDARC below your TC Aussie Base Station sold in Australia)?
No, we just build the camper. Flatbed conversions are pretty popular and theres fabricators out there that will handle the build for you.
Its great but you can't buy one anywhere, not even a 2021! I want one and you don't have any available for sale! :(
Hi Connie, you need to order one. All units hitting lots right now are pre-ordered. All of our dealers are booked several months in advance. We deliver units everyday but demand exceeds what we can build.
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers I guess it's tough when you have such a nice product! haha! Thank you. I just don't want to wait several months and I don't want any other truck camper. ;)
Hello, can you send me some pictures for a F150 STX short bed
Do you recommend the glass or acrylic windows for cold weather camping? Also, any chance of getting the limited with the blinds that have the surround rather than the ones that hang from the top?
Hi Dave, we recommend the acrylic for cold weather. Less condensation and less heat transfer. Unfortunately they only come in one style with the blinds.
@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers I just ordered a limited edition unit with the glass because the dealer said it was better for cold weather and at an extra expense ... if the acrylic windows are better then why have the glass option and at an extra expense.. what are the pro's and cons to either.. Thanks
@@geoffelvee6375 Hi Geoff, we prefer the acrylic for cold weather. The glass windows are an option. Customers choose the glass windows for aesthetic reasons. As they are glass along with the blind configuration there is a higher cost to them from the manufacturer.
I also believe the glass is scratch resistant, while the acrylic can be polished if it gets scratched.
Is there any off gassing with models purchased new? I’m particularly concerned with formaldehyde in cabinetry.
No gas off issues. All of our cabinetry is real hardwood.
What’s the difference between the dry and wet bath options?
Hi Robin, the Dry bath has a divider between the shower and toilet. The Wet Bath uses a common space.
