Hey, next time you use isopropyl alcohol to find a shorted component, try pulsing the power supply. It gives a clearer indication as the alcohol reacts in waves. Also, nice use of the 'calibrated wire' 😂😜👍
Cheers for the vid, really informative. Big up to the donors for donating the cards. Four out of five is very good: top job! It's really nice of you to give the cards away as well.
They are all gone, and in fact most of the cards that were in the giveaway box are now gone. All is left is the very very old radeon and two gts240... so it is definately worth doing, if people find them useful still.
Nice job, those were great cards back in the day, I had a 290, still have it somewhere, looks like the cards worked pretty hard mining for many years, I bought a few ex mining cards and mined on few myself and they all still work but most are 2000 and 3000 series from Ngreedia and a few 6000 series AMD. Got a dead Gamerock 3080 that I bought for 100$ on marketplace a few months ago that I need to get to someday. Very nice of you to give them away.
Yeah the cards seem well built, but worn. I suspected mining as well, but they might have been working on something else as well, like folding-at-home or something. The gamerock with fake diamonds? That is one weird looking card :D

Yeah, should have done that. Will remember for the next time, thank you :)
Very good job. Thanks for the video.
