They probably had a workshop with a big window, wake up early and work mostly in daylight. Saw the video from Van Cleef & Arpel, he said it's better in natural daylight but he was working on jewels so maybe it's different. But I think it's probably the same back then.
While I appreciate all of the craftsmanship, my two favorites are the unique coffin creators and the world globe makers.😊 Great stories, Great Big Story. Definitely one of my best channels on RUclips.💚
*Before there was Google Earth, there were these things called globes* Y’all act like globes don’t exists anymore 😂😂 But honestly those handmade globes are beautiful
Globes are cool and all but just like traditional maps, they aren’t accurate. Since the earth is round, you can’t make it flat, and since globes are odten perfect spheres, a lot fo accuracy is lost. Which is why in a way, Satellite Maps are a lot better. However, I do love the aesthetic

I’ve been on the Bronx Zoo carousel. It’s insect-themed. I rode on a honeybee. There was also a praying mantis. A non-moving one was a dung beetle pushing a ball of dung and you sat in the dung. So interesting to hear that this company was the one that made it.
Beautiful work, just beautiful. It's so incredible the work that they do and the amount of time and effort they put in is just crazy. I give them so much credit for what they do. Goodness gracious, I know that I would never be able to do what they do.
