Thank you for sharing! This was interesting and educational. I use bread tags at the end of the washi tape. Helps me find the end and keeps me from having to "dig" at it to loosen the edge.
Oh my gosh Gayle, these are so fun! Thank you for sharing this with us. It’s a super quick way to make ephemera and I love guest checks!! You and Mike have a wonderful weekend my friend! 🥰
Lots of good ideas today. My favorites are the napkin and the rice paper. Might I suggest MRS. COGGS AS A FUTURE FORGOTTEN FRIENDS FRIDAY, Gayle? Just a thought. Enjoy your weekend! 🦋🦋🦋
Wow what a great bunch of ideas. Not only will they work on the guest checks but but on any tag. Thank you for sharing and continued prayers for your granddaughter
Great ideas! Also, these would make great flips if you backed them with coffee-dyed for reinforcement. I could see covering the detachable strip with washi, and using it as a charm on a bulb pin, etc., or just use it as a belly band. What about covering it with fabric or lace scraps? They could be stenciled or embossed, or used as the material for die-cuts or tag toppers. Use washi tape (or scraps) to make a plaid pattern on top. I wonder if it would be interesting to cut one in a tag shape? Make over-the-page embelli clips? As usual, you’ve got my mind racing. 🤣🥰
Great ideas! I think I would also use the front of the Guest Check as the back for journaling and then collage the back and use it as the front. If that makes sense. Lol
Gayle your guest check ideas are wonderful. Watching the variety of makes was like going to a buffet and looking at all the lovely choices and wondering what to pick, wanting it all. This was just a wonderful 'forgotten friends Friday'. Thank you.
Oh my goodness, Gayle! I really envy & lust after your endless abundance of supplies, but I am always so inspired to look and see how I can adapt with what is available to me in South Africa and what I have to make do! My brain works overtime (especially at night when I should be asleep!!) "So" let me try write it all down while I can when so inspired by your play!
I love how you just whip out ideas, one after the other! those Those washi sheets are pretty; never have seen them before. Could the Tim H deckle-edged cutter have given you the torn edge on those and the rice paper? A bit of distress is fair for the 50’s pieces, because after all, the 50’s were like, 70 years ago! (I oughta know 😉). Thanks for the video. 🌺
I am so excited that you covered guest checks today! I just received a bunch of them and can't wait to try them out! I hope your Granddaughter is feeling better every day.
Hi Gayle, I’m sorry to hear that one of your babies is I’ll. I will pray for a speedy and complete recovery ❤️🩹. Hugs I totally enjoyed all your guest check ideas!
