It's funny because back when the NES came out the only thing I couldn't stand were gamepads since I grew up with joysticks and the arcades.
This stick does resemble the Advantage but this thing is built like a tank.
I couldn't believe how heavy and durable it was.
I was able to connect it to everything from my PC to my emulator frontend on my Android TV box.
It's really good quality that really surprised me.

    • @LordDemonos

  • @AngryCalvin

I was very impressed and happy with this product. It might look like the NES Advantage with far more buttons but it's not built cheap like those were. The buttons and the controller are very 90's SNK/Neo-Geo like. Clicky, clicky. It's heavy duty and super durable. Feels like a tank.
I got this for travel since I can't haul my my home built arcade around. I got it to connect to Emuelec frontend on my Android TV box by treating it as a PC and making it recognize it as an XBOX 360 controller.
Very impressive piece of hardware. Far better quality than I expected. I was going to go with the Sony quanda drone but went with this instead because it's wireless option. So glad I did.

Seems like a really nice quality controller. The fact that they made the effort to have it be compatible with as many different device types as possible just shows where it is better in value to most controllers at that price. One thing I am curious about is whether it is compatible with the other 2.4 Ghz adaptors that 8bit Do have released. If so, then you would be able to use it also with systems like original consoles if you also had the adaptors for those systems.

Have you tried it on Retroarch on Nvidia Shield TV for arcade games? I paired it with my shield tv and realized that it is a pain to setup this controller in Retroarch. Retroarch pairs it as XBOX ONE controller and button layout are totally different, so I really have a difficult time to map those buttons for arcade buttons layout. Also I noticed that it has very major latency problem when playing arcade games with Retroarch in Nvidia Shield TV. I noticed it when pair with Bluetooth mode but haven't tried it with cable mode.

On the Arcade Stick, how should I position the 2 "main" buttons (top left)?
    1) switch mode: switch / off/ X-input? (obviously to switch off the stick, you must position this button on "off")
    2) control stick switch: left-stick - d-pad - right-stick (I have absolutely no idea what this is all about)
And in Recalbox, how do you configure this stick? (I know the "joysticks" and "configure a joystick" menu, but then?)
