well, i tried instead qa6+* first, kh1 then nxg2, had no clue why it would fail so put the position into an engine and there is bishop d4 after nxg2 sacking back a piece for equality :S
I like how you instantly diagnosed the fact that she over calculates when you can rely more on evaluation. But honestly I'd much rather see a student over calculate than under calculate!

In the position 3, I thought nxg2 but actually it doesn’t work because after kxg2 Qh4 they have Rh1

Yes, this came up in the first lesson too! Absolutely - over-calculating is easier to fix than "under" 🙂
