- Detroit Tigers CLINCH AL Wild Card and MLB Playoff berth with WIN Over Chicago White Sox. Detroit Tigers improbable run continues with 4-1 win at Comerica Park in front of a sold out crowd. Detroit Tigers will be in the postseason for the first time in 10 years. Jake Rogers scored on a wild pitch, Matt Vierling hit a sacrifice fly scoring Andy Ibanez to put the Tigers on top 2-0. Riley Greene extended the lead in the bottom of the 7th with an RBI double, and Matt Vierling later scored on a wild pitch to add to the Tigers lead, 4-1.

That was quick...primarily b/c the Royals backed into the postseason after losing in a SHO to the Braves, and the Twins lost to the Orioles.
Tigers were the only ALCD team who won yesterday!!
Now the Tigers only need to win one of their two remaining games vs Sox to retain the second AL WC. The Royals could lose both of their remaing games vs @ Braves, but I would prefer not to count on that happening.
I would love to see Jobe starting either today or tomorrow but I'm sure Maeda is probably going to start one of these last two games
