Hi Steve, nice video, the opening of the Christmas Village near Triton Fountain was on Friday the 3rd December. On Saturday and Sunday
many people attended. The ice ring is at the grannaries. The figure you saw facing down on the floor in the crib near St John Cathedral was
of St Joseph. It fell because of the strong winds. There is also the projections at St. Georges Square on the facade of the President's Palace.

Here in the USA some churches don't have baby Jesus in the Manger until Christmas day. He wasn't born yet.

Ha ha ha Steve , I see the Maltese haven`t lost the habit of not looking where they`re going whilst walking . It`s a bit of a puzzle as to why St Georges hasn`t been utilised to celebrate Christmas , I hope the responsible authorities aren`t using `COVID` as an excuse .

Oh I do love Christmas time in Malta Steve, especially seeing all of the pretty lights in Valletta and the festive atmosphere ✨ I really feel like it pulls on my heart because I just want to be there! We have been twice at Christmas time and I just love it 🥰 I must say, they need to sort out the lighting on some of those streets. Not just for Christmas but for all year round. I wouldn’t feel safe or comfortable walking up some of those unlit streets on my own 😳 Looking to Part 2 of the video, this one has certainly put me in the Christmas spirit! May even have a little tipple of Sherry or Baileys when watching the next one! 🎅🏼🥃

Those lights & decorations look beautiful - shame about the dark streets. FYI Steve :there's nothing weird about the nativity outside St John's, BABY JESUS is placed in the manger on Xmas Eve at midnight - CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR is born 🌟🙏. We used to do same in our "presepju" at home. Now you know my friend 😉. PROSET 👏. Look forward to Part 2......

This was an exciting video I have been to most of the streets in Valletta but have never seen the Christmas lights or the ice rink and the Ferris wheel so lots of first for me.

When we were there on our honeymoon, my wife was not a huge fan or the local food. She found every pizza hut,burger king, and McDonald's. Lol
maybe she did not find the right place ...we have plenty of fast food 🍲

You are right some of the places so very dark, definitely not tourist friendly, a little scary for people who dont know Valletta.

Really enjoyed this thank U! I'm still stuck in the UK & I've enjoyed the change of scenery but the honeymoon period is quickly coming to an end! Dark at 4 & cold deserted streets is just not doing it for me!! Roll on April when we drive back😎

@@godhams yes not sure what happened to that, it was donated from Mdina glass, we are not much better...high winds, rain and very cold !!
