It’s through these conversations we get to normalize heartbreak and build communities so we don’t suffer alone. “ He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.” 2 Corinthians 1:4. Absolutely love what Jennifer said about the church being safe. The church isn't an exclusively safe space free of hurt, it's actually a hospital for the wounded - and the truth is wounded/hurt people hurt people. It's full of people on their healing journeys and depending where they're at, they'll still cause hurt because they're human -- we all do. The church has got spots and blemishes as per Ephesians 5. But there should be a good balance of safety and accountability and grace and forgiveness in that hospital too. Like Jennifer said, people aren't homes and come with imperfect levels of safety -- God is home and is the ultimate safe space. X

My ex-fiance called off our wedding two months before the wedding and one month after he called it off, my dad died. I was ghosted a few months after my dad's funeral. TALK ABOUT HARD! I can relate to what the ladies shared. God has been my Strength and Help through it all. I too, had to come to the truth of what role I played. And its true, it hurts more when they are in the Church. You think there should be closure and accountability but in my case NONE. Its still hard but I know he's my brother in Christ and I pray the Lord continue to heal him too.

To hear there are other women who have been ghosted/so greatly betrayed by their husbands is so ironically comforting. I have been struggling for over a month after my husband of 4 years walked out and ghosted me; losing him, his family which had become my family over our ten years together, losing mutual friends, financial stability, trust… Losing my best friend. To hear Sarah and Jennifer‘s strength, stories, and where they are now is so inspiring and impactful. To also hear Jennifer say she accepted the crying and working through such mental health struggles (very relatable) just reminds me what I’m feeling is okay as long as I’m working through it; healing.
This couldn’t have found me at a better time. I have some tough decisions to make, but I do think I’ve found answers and guidance through listening and feeling, today.

He tried to only give me my car and my sewing machine equipment. He stopped talking to me while he was divorcing me, on 3rd August 2022 we were officially divorced. He never even said goodbye or thank you for the great years. Its definitely a suicide of the heart. Insane pain. Thank you ladies. Its almost 2 years since iv last seen him. This wasn't meant to be my story. Almost years of abandonment and ghosting . Married a faithful believer, felt safe in that, that we both genuinely serve God, but it happened, the enemy came in, he walked out of the marriage. The church is a hospital not a safe place, in this season I got to know who are my real covenant sisters, God led me to new community, new friends. I Still wake up with shock, but the Holy spirit has been my strength, I'm where I never taught I'll be, Im strengthened, where I didn't believe I'll be. God said to me Thy maker is your husband ( Isa 54:5-6) and behold he's doing a new thing in my life.. Leaning more and more on the Holy Spirit Thank you Sarah & Jennifer. We are not less bcos of a broken marriage, we are more in Christ. ❤❤

Forgiveness and seeing the person through Christ is like 70% to this healing. constantly trusting God that there is truly a restoration coming. There is more to their stories but I think from where I see it is nothing is guaranteed. You hope for the best and want it to last forever with your person but the interesting part about life is that anyone can walk away from you at anytime for any reason. If a person walks away, let them. Yes it's painful, depressing, awful but it'll be alright. You're stronger than you think.

I’m so glad that they’re sharing their testimonies and I pray that God continues healing them and giving them even more joy in Him that they ever thought was possible 💕 it’s disheartening seeing how many women have endured this type of betrayal and abandonment. Oh, Lord I pray for a great healing. Because it is not Gods desire for men to be so flippant with Gods call for them to be the men of God He commands them to be. I know it isn’t always men’s fault that relationships fail but this does need to be addressed head on and at the root.

I like when she said the signs where there and ignored. Sometimes we can see the men not giving us their all but we give excuses for their lack of commitment only to face the rejection years later . It’s a concept also called “breadcrumbing” they give you just enough to hold you .
Also like when she says most men are looking to be mothered. A scary concept of submitting to someone who also wants to be mothered “a baby man”

I’m 17 and recently my boyfriend broke up with me because he needed space to himself and time to feel good again so he can bring something to the relationship. I thought okay this will make us stronger and we’ll get back together. From this distance I’ve noticed things I never realised when we where so close, he puts himself first and I want someone who makes me a priority and I make them a priority. He’s selfish and even if I am crumbling he wouldn’t come see me if he doesn’t feel like it. Actions Definetly speak louder than words. But I thought he was the one and moving on is so hard and I want nothing but to be back with him because I keep thinking about the good times. But my parents think I deserve better. I’m hurting so bad. I’ve been throwing up because I miss him so much and just want him back, he knows all of this, I was begging him to come back to me and it’ll be all better, I’ll be a better girlfriend and he’ll be happy with me, but he still said no.

I'm 32 and I had a relationship with someone so similar... it took 7 months for me to stop trying to beg, manipulate through crying.
Then before i was ready he tells me he needs space. I stayed in bed for a week crying. 1month 1 week later, several therapy sessions later, so many hugs from friends and family , so many prayers in pain later i hardly think of him. I am healing.
I tell you this to say whether he is 17 or 35 selfishness looks and behaves the same. Dont beg someone to love you. You have a beautiful life ahead of you. JER 29:11.
Use this time to build some depth to you, learn to love yourself& others ( Your fam, friends, those in need) in such a genuine way , build a dream that's just for you, wake up excited to have a great day. Because you deserve it. Look forward to the miracles that God can do for you.

I would love to do an interview on here most definitely. Alot of women are so blind and don't necessarily know their worth. my past marriage was horrible, and I got married for the wrong reasons and it wasn't God ordained at all. But through God grace and mercy I escaped the devils mad plan

Wow this was a fascinating conversation. Thank you to these women for sharing their stories. I admire your strength to heal and recover.
It resonates as I went through a hellish relationship situation which strengthened my faith and I love that phase 'we're walking each other back home'. I'm Muslim and amazed by the strong similarities with how Christians and Muslims relate to God.
