  • Somehow easier and more consistent than Celsius thanks to re-built Luin. The Glory Arts weapon from re-built Luin ups my attack by a whopping 300 on top of being overleveled already lol.
    Game Modifications:
    -Modified the party
-Set Fanged Finality as an arte (I did the proper set-up for it with the arte combo and OVL, but I just have it set for consistency reasons)
    Strategy:
For the sake of making things clearer, I'll refer to the different enemies by whichever weapon they carry. So it will be: Bow, Shield, and Sword.
The first order of business will be to take care of Shield. Despite having a shield, she actually has the lowest HP pool of the three (I always found it kinda cute since I imagined the other two gave her a shield because she's frailer or something lol) and will basically just spam Wind Blade and Air Thrust. I jump over the other two and hopefully find a good window to do my MA combo to kill Shield instantly. If I couldn't one-shot her, this fight would honestly not be possible imo.
Now, I just have to deal with Bow and Sword. While it's certainly not easy, it's manageable. I have to target Sword first because I won't be able to damage Bow easily with Sword's melee or Wind Blade pressure. Bow will shoot arrows at me at fairly regular intervals. Luckily, the arrows fly fairly close to the ground so I can jump over these or even use Crescent Moon or Heaven's Rising to dodge these arrows. So my plan is to use Eagle Rage to open up Sword on a timer where Bow has just shot an arrow and Sword isn't about to hit me. From there, I'll combo using Crescent Moon-Eagle Rage or Heaven's Rising-Eagle Rage to dodge the arrows and attack at the same time. I generally won't be able to kill Sword in one combo because Eagle Rage will cause a quick knock-down, but I can still run around and do hit and run with Eagle Rage if I can't find a good window to combo. When the Sword reaches a certain HP threshold, she will use Rising Wind which is a big AOE anti-air basically. This attack is super dangerous and I need to make sure I either bait it out or cancel it. In the case of this take, I managed to cancel the attack.
Once Sword falls, Bow is easy to take out by opening her up with Eagle Rage and comboing her to death. The strategy here isn't too complex, but this fight is still very difficult on the execution side so I'm happy to get it done.
    BGM:

Man, anytime a damageless requires jumping an off-target’s projectiles it makes me super nervous, lol. Good job playing around (over?) that!

Thanks! I think these kinda fights where you need to keep track of multiple things at once are really fun! It can be veeery annoying at times but when you get a good flow going it feels good to dodge everything lol.

Reminds me of my first kill on these guys. I only managed it because I took out one immediately thanks to a lucky Unison Attack refil and Shenna Summon!
It might be my imagination but I think I felt your nerves trying to find an opening on “bow” towards the end there!
Well done on such a clean kill!

Thanks! I definitely played it pretty safe at the end since I did not want to mess up after defeating Sword lol. It always feels really bad to choke on the easy parts of the fight (I know from experience) :(

Good thing this ain't Pokemon, cause those fairies would have destroyed H̶i̶t̶m̶o̶n̶l̶e̶e̶ Regal.
Good fight, very clean a the aerial maneuvers were fun to see!

Thanks! Fairy/Flying would definitely be a pretty tough matchup for a fighting type :p

Quite the strong opener on that one! But it's certainly good to remove one of them from the equation right away, two of them are tricky enough to dance around as it is! The last one is just a combo victim, at least. Very clean run!

Thanks! If the shield one was around for longer the fight gets sooo hard because all she does is spam spells. Wind Blade and Air Thrust aren't exactly easy spells to deal with in a multi-man fight either.

Really nice clear! Out of curiosity, did you take any steps to prevent Yutis/Bow from using her annoying "GO GO GO" move where she teleports (I think behind you?) and then fires a barrage of arrows? I imagine she might not have used it as much due to only one party member + Regal being in the air, so she probably couldn't teleport behind you? But it'd be nice to know since that's easily the most annoying move for me personally when I replay Symphonia.
As a side note it's always really interesting to see how amazing Regal's mobility is, being comparable or even better than Lloyd's despite no Tempest/Rising Falcon. Being able to essentially fly with normal attacks is amazing lol. Anyway, good work!

Thanks! The "GO GO GO" attack is quite annoying, but she'll actually only use it once she gets damaged a little bit. So I guess my precaution to not seeing that attack is to save her for last lol.
