Due to trauma I used to be a "yes-man" in my adolescence, but neither did it to actively "move up the ranks" in someone's inner circle, nor for personal gain. Now I know that unconditional (and undeserved) affirmation and acclaim is poison.
Also props to Logic for still seeming to be cool with Fantano despite the harsh criticism. I'd have a hard time being buds with someone who repeatedly, publicly roasted me like he does, lol

All I can say is that Logic's album cover art is always on point.
Pretty much everything except his music, logic does it quite well.

More positive spin would be “just having some fun” which is what I like about this album. Good fun, good vibes, good tunes. Some might call it lazy, but it doesn’t sound lazy to me. It just sounds fun.
When he said that, I audibly did one of those hissing sounds you might do when slamming your toe on a table leg lol. I'm glad someone else caught how hard hitting that was, yet accurate.

I love Logic in general but even this album felt like a really carefree mix of not-so-stellar tracks that didn't have nearly the same level of polish found in some of his other albums.

I agree with this but also really enjoyed this fun album. It was nothing more than him just having fun making some music again. If he actually intends on going hard to make some incredible album soon, that would be awesome, but I don’t mind a fun, casual, covey mixtape mixed in.

Still has an album on the way, chill dude. It's not even the worst thing he's ever produced tbh, it's underwhelming for sure but I wasn't really hyped for the mixtape tbh. More like I am hyped for what he has planned next, the last studio album with DefJam that will probably be released this year or the next.

Logic didn't need to do this. After his retirement, he had 'no pressure' to put out music. He could have spent an extra year to really conceptualise and record a solid full album. The greatest rappers have very few duds in their catalogue, but Logic always seems content to just churn out sub-par projects
I mean, it makes sense if he wanted to toss out a mixtape to get off of Def Jam. then he can do a solid album elsewhere and know that his features will be respected better than (he alleges) Def Jam treated them.

It’s crazy seeing logic review his own album
I kinda liked this mixtape. Now, don’t get me wrong, I know it’s not that good, and even arguably bad, but some of the tracks I love. they aren’t the best logic songs ever but they’re ones that I personally enjoy a lot, like inside, see you space cowboy, flawless, vaccine, untitled, and call me, we’re all songs I really like and give a good listen to every once in a while. That’s actually most of the tracks on there tbh.
Now I know most people who see this will say, “average logic fan” and just dismiss what I have to say, and I just want to explain why I like it more then it’s worth. I think the main reason is that logic is my favorite rapper, and this was the mixtape that I first thoroughly listened to and enjoyed. It isn’t the best, but it’s what made me discover my favorite artist so even with all its faults, it’s hard for me to not like this mixtape. I also just think it’s a bit underrated, but that’s personal and I know most people think differently.

The first minute or two of 'See You Space Cowboy' is one of my favorite bits from this album. I wish the beat and vibe continued throughout the rest of the song, but the last 3 minutes is just Logic talking over a beat, making it seem like this track wasn't fully finished. Kinda like the entire album tbh

Gotta say, I had high hopes for this. But I was pretty disappointed. Dont know how Logic can call this a Bobby Tarantino tape compared to the previous two. See You Space Cowboy, untitled and Vaccine are probably the best songs because they follow that BT precedence that is in 1 and 2. Honestly I'd give it a strong 2
He has more to offer than this 100%. I'm disappointed with this one but I hope the next album will be way better.

I've been saying this. Personally, I think it's a smart way to capitalize on your down time, his fans will bite every time he does this and don't care if hes "lying". But he was never going to retire either time.

Idk if it's just me but Logic kinda seems like he just isn't pushing himself anymore. He's been one of my favorite rappers since 2010-11 and for a long time even if it wasn't the best hip hop I've heard you could tell he was constantly trying to be better and better and better. Don't hear that as much anymore, shout out to Montana.
I guess it's because he doesn't have anything to prove to anyone anymore, he's just making music that he likes making, i mean to say this on the njcest way possible but he does not care about our opinion, he haven't since before he was retiring from people just tearing into his music, as he says in no pressure, at least that's what i think

Maybe this is just my selfish "wants" but i would love to see a whole track that is more in the style of the first minute of "see you space cowboy" from logic, when he does his fast raps and more gritty stuff i believe he's at his best.
The only track i cared for on this "rap" mixtape was untitled, which is actually an amazing song, but the rest were eh to bad. I feel like his last project for def jam is gonna be like under pressure cus of the intro track for the album which he released earlier. I feel like if Logic worked with better writers he could really turn his reputation around. The man is clearly skilled at keeping a flow going and he's got a good ear for samples/good taste in producers. If only he could just use those talents to make actual good music. It's like having a Corvette in your garage but only ever using it to drive to the 7-11 and back.

So, the mixtape feels exactly like how fantano describes. However, I am severely disappointed with the title of the album. I wouldn't mind it so much if he didn't label it as the third installment of Tarantino. 1 and 2 had several hard, fast, boombap kinds of songs which became a staple of the name. Tarantino was supposed to be as close as the "album logic" could get to "mixtape logic." Tarantino 3 feels so far from it, it was disappointing. I am sad that there are not really any hard tracks, all of them sounding bland and slow. I would love to hear your opinions!

probably a shot in the dark, but are you going to review Hobo Johnson's new album/mixtape, Hobo Johnson Alienates His Fanbase? yea, apparently it wasn't just a throwaway joke in the outro song of the last album. it came out a few days ago and supposedly he's going to release another one soon, not really sure where he's planning to go with this. i can find very little discussion of it, especially on youtube
while it isn’t his best, i can appreciate its purpose. just a fun album for the fans.

All songs except godmight judge, second half of space cowboy and vaccine was recorded newly for the album, the rest of the songs are throwaways from the coadm era. Atleast the new songs were bangers so no reason not to keep hope

I understand where do you coming from because this doesn't sound much like Logics other music but I also like it because it's different and mellowed out. I never thought that the songs were underdeveloped though, I really like the lyrics and the beat to all the songs. I personally loved the album but I can see how the change in style can throw people off
