Hi PG BB! I believe the weight here is 1025lbs. This was in 2002 at the Mountaineer Championships in West Virginia. I believe this that meet since it's an IPA meet and the weight is 1000+lbs but it's not THE squat he did when he broke the 1000lbs at 220, so I believe this was done later than that meet.
@@dropsetsforeverything6061 Multi-ply is more beneficial for wide stancing since it gives more suppression and support around the hip area. Close stance squat don’t utilize the hip joint to the same degree. The depth is good, knee has to be below the hip crease. ATG squats are only gym squats
@@LinusE I get the reasoning. ATG are probably only useful for olympic weight lifters. Most don't have the structure and flexibility to go ATG. To parallel is sufficient for hypertrophy imo. They should only focus on raw powerlifting. Equipped inflates the numbers too much.

@@VB-zx1yk The squat suit wont allow you to have closer stance? I guess if the judges are ok with that depth then it is perfect for competition.
