My old man just bought one of these with a broken front bumper (all the grilles and lights and stuff are fine) for $18k Canadian. No major issues like the wastegate stuff you're dealing with, but so many little stupid things like missing knobs and doors not unlocking all the time, etc etc. So many features, so many things to fail. Great acceleration though.
Considering what happened with that Bentley Flying Spur in Niagara NY this week, I imagine Flying Spurs will be even more affordable. A known Stuck Accelerator problem is a "fault" that most people don't want to get anywhere near, even if it has a recall fix...
Bro, anything with waste gate means carbon buildup. I worked on many supercharge vehicles, decarbonize and your codes go with it. Try a heavy duty catalyst cleaner, any carbon buildup prevents the sensor talking to the ECMs. Simple always first
I love your channel. Keep it going as I have a very similar stable of cars with a NADA 109 (engine runs), three series 88’s and a 95 Disco 1. What is really weird is I bought a w12 Phaeton which is ver similar to your Bentley. There has to be a name for this sickness. Cheers, Mark P. From Orange Park, FL
@@LostCauseRanch no problem. The cats on these dont ever fail. Its always either O2 sensors or PCV hoses. And since they are made of plastic and rubber there is a more than likely a crack or leak some where. Hopefully that helps.
I appreciate that. Was it the black one I used in the video? If it was it is a 31inc one. I like that one a lot. Otherwise if it was the red one it is an Autel. I like the 31inc on over that.
It turned out alright for my first time. Nothing spectacular and not worthy of a Bentley. But it was better than some similar repairs that I’ve seen come out of some shady body shops.
What's going down L.C.R I got the same year watch those middle arm rest they will stick & stay stuck mine was stuck half way up for a month one day it went back down never used again lol 😆 I got mine 2017 no major problem so far lord bless🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 it was a Texas car no snow or winters I subscribed lookin forward to the next video 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@The_North0 1 year. Every one of these w12tts with over 60k miles has a cracked air line that can only be remedied with an engine out. That will solve most of the engine management lights that are seemingly erratic as well as lean codes. Performance indicators are only really visible if you drive spirited. When you step on it from a dead stop you'll noticed a stark difference from one thats had this fixed vs one that hasnt. I also did a 2006 to 2012 supersports front end conversion and used actual bentley parts, that didnt help my costs. Service-wise I spent $7,086 for daily driving costs which were typical costs
@@geminihi-fi7939 is it the vacuum line in the back? Cause if it is. I got trick. Take old lines out, send them of to a fabricating specialist and have some metal versions made so you will be good for next 150k miles or more.
even if you spend $10K to bring it up to speed , you’re still riding in $160K Bentley , not too shabby if you ask me

The cat efficiency thing is part of the Pcv system. Check for any cracked pcv lines.
Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Too much of anything can be bad but too much confidence is just enough.
I love that. I have just enough confidence to make some dumb decisions. But boy is it fun.
What did you mean with "Hood Ride"?
I've been restoring my 2006 bentley CFS for the past twenty four months thanks for sharing your story
About to start my journey
no man its easy to pull that shit out, doesn't cost 10k just cost skills.
I love this series. Keep it up

Hopefully you may be able to clean the cats rather than replacing them.
I think we may be able to get by without replacing them. We shall see.

I have owned 2 Bentley's and a Rolls-Royce. I would not own another Bentley.

I don’t understand what you meant by $14,800 for the year? How long have u owned it?
