The Rift is currently on sale for $400, this is about the cheapest high end VR is going to be for a while.
There is a new headset name Valve Index, you can pre order it now and it is very good but expensive. the old headset like what he used in this video, you can buy not in second hand with just 350 $.
It's truly amazing that you can do something like this in VR and the guy making this is super talented. Shame he didn't do the whole painting.

I love watching these! One day, I hope to be able to do this. I know I'd love it so much. Painting and seeing my final project is a great feeling, but seeing a painting come to life around you must be amazing. I love the technology of the VR headset and was lucky enough to get mine, but if I could afford the painting tools, I'd definitely be creating all of the time, on a daily basis... which is my goal. Thank you for all of the inspiration you share as well as the amazement that comes with bringing these famous paintings to life. I loved Starry Night. It's one of my absolute favorites. Maybe one day you could do Van Gogh's Café at Night. Is love to see what that would look like to be able to walk down the road of the cafe through the eyes of Van Gogh. Thanks again for a wonderful series!
