Good morning:) Today I'm talking fashion trends for Spring Summer 2023 and the ones I've actually been wearing! Trends are all well and good but there's no point adding them to your wardrobe if they don't make you feel good so I thought you might enjoy seeing which ones I've found truly wearable:) I'd love to hear which is your favourite outfit idea? And apologies for the dodgy lip again! No I have not had lip filler as a couple of people asked me last week haha, I have a recurring cut that will not heal! Every time I laugh it cuts again! Anywho, ignoring that I do very much hope you enjoy the video and find it helpful:) Big hugs ladies, and looking forward to hearing from you all x
You look stunning in white. I LOVE the (they're not baggy... they're beautifully spacious) roomy, white linen (?) trousers. And especially paired with the white waistcoat. Great look.
Your look lovely in your new hair style. I love the outfit you are wearing. My favorite trend is the cargo pant. Your choice for the Mary Jane style shoe is just marvelous. So chic! Thanks for this week's fashion inspiration.
Thanks for sharing all your fashion research! I love the Mary Janes. It is very classic and such a nice finish? Also a big fan of denim skirts and white on white. Something up here is using gauzy scarves over items for hot days... Hpjust loose and flowy! Catching up on your next video today! Thank you. Xo Joanme
Hi Jess, I think the black dress is my favourite. Dresses are comfortable and I'm not sure why my go to seems to be pants. I also like the boho gold top with your cargoes, oh and the fringe.
Thanks so much Emmy, I'm glad you get me and where I'm coming from:) There's no ads in this one though, some items have very kindly been gifted but all chosen by me with no pressure to share x
I love the wide, FULL LENGTH trousers. SO relieved to have them back. (I couldn't believe that anyone would jump on the 'high water length' trousers band-wagon ... but people will buy anything that's everywhere). ELEGANT!!!
I love all white outfits .I love French -girl fashion. I recognize all yr Sezane pieces. We actually dress and eat and excercize and look similiar, but i am petite, short waisted, and only five feet , lol
Just discovered your site and must say LOVE YOUR STYLE! My favorite in this video was the black dress which is perfection especially with the high heels!
These past few seasons hv been a favorite because of the simplicity of fashion. I love wearing all whites and cargos, maryjanes, ballet flats, shirts, denim Maxi's hv never left my closet!!
I wore those enough at the age of 6. Thank you very much!!!! No way!!! To me that is for a 6 year old to wear. We have heels nice pointed patent flat heels. I love it like Gia, nice dark Levi denim jeans with a nice high collar white crisp shirt wit a pair of black pointed patent flat heels.
I think your new fringe suits you and your sense of style beautifully! I would love to see you do a shop your closet series! It is exciting to see all of the new pieces that you curate, but I think it would also be great fun to see how you would style older pieces to fit current trends!
I've been searching everywhere (months actually) for the exact classic, simplicity of the Sezane belt you're wearing here. I didn't want a big branded buckle - but wanted a quality look. This is it. Hard to find - especially since many stores don't carry belts any more. I'm new to your content - so having SO much fun binging on your channel! I'm so HAPPY to have found you.
Hi Tyler, thanks so much for finding my channel, welcome to our lovely little group:) And so happy I’ve helped a little with your search for the perfect belt, their belts always have really lovely quality👌🏻 Happy weekend lovely x
Love the fringe! Or bangs, as we call them here in the states; been toying with the idea myself! All the outfits you showed today were great! I’d be happy wearing every single one of them.❤
Thanks so much Katherin, so glad you like my new 'do'! I probably did it the wrong way round in terms of season, it's handy to have no fringe when it's hot in Summer but patience has never been my strong point! Have you had a fringe before? I must admit I do feel more authentically 'me' with the fringe I'd just probably advise a hairdresser rather than the kitchen scissors like me haha! Happy Sunday my lovely, hope you've had a wonderful weekend so far x
I absolutely love your style and I enjoy listening to you talk about fashion. One thing I hope will go out of style is sneakers or trainers which belong in sports activities. There are a lot of casual shoes which are flattering and comfortable.
Lovely to hear from you Ann, I hope you and yours are all well:) And so glad you like the fringe, not a bad job with the kitchen scissors hey! Happy new week my lovely x
@@FashionStyleEdit you did them yourself I think you found a new career hair stylist and may I ask was that the Anton blouse you were wearing in the video
Love the fringe so much!!! I wondered if you could tell me where the dark spaghetti strap and lace top is from? I can’t see it listed and it’s lovely x
Aww thanks so much, appreciate that:) Re the cami do you mean the one with the lace v at the front? If so that one is from a brand called Custommade but if they don't have them anymore CamiNYC has really similar ones x
Hey Jess, you suit the fringe. Every time I grow mine out I want it back then I get it cut and I want to grow it out again 🙈. I donated my perfect condition 15 yr old patent Mary Janes a couple of months ago, hopefully someone is now enjoying them! They're a bit twee for me now. I do like the long denim skirts but it's hard to wear them unless you have a flat stomach which my menopausal tummy definitely isn't. Have a fab week, mega Bank Hol May 😃 x
I look forward to Sunday mornings just for your videos. ❤😊 I don’t wear pants, so I missed last week, but am loving the shoes! I located the fabulous and extraordinary Vivaia which uses plastic bottles to make their shoes! Absolutely amazing - and I already have 3 pair. It’s true - they really ARE easy to clean and you really CAN run in them. Yay for sustainable fashion!
Yay for not wearing trousers/pants/jeans. I can never get them to fit, after 50 years of trying, they just don’t fit my straight shape. Dresses and skirts are so much more comfortable and I just don’t understand why other women would rather wear skin-tight jeans. Yes to sustainable fashion, too🙂
@@kimberlyperrotis8962 I agree! I wore them for years and realized I always changed into leggings at home. I could be changing 5 times a day if I wanted to go out and then come back. With my dresses and skirts, I just wear them all day. No stiff, uncomfortable fabric like denim in my life!
@@rachaelwilliams786 Yess, I never understood people who would class jeans as 'casual' enough to wear at home! If I'm lounging I want to be comfortable - not in stiff denim with metal zips & buttons, lol!
Aww thank you Dawn, that's lovely of you to say:) I must admit I did this myself with the kitchen scissors so it's not the best job in the world but I do feel more like me to have it back:) Hope you've had a wonderful week lovely x
Merci infiniment de me donner des bonnes idées pour m'habiller ! Grâce à vous je m'habille parfaitement bien ! Merci et encore bravo pour les sans fautes ❤❤❤🎉🎉
Love all the looks Jess, feel like your style really resonants with what I love, laid back but put together at the same time. I live in Barcelona, so the vibe is very laid back whatever the season and your ideas always give me fashion food for thought. All outfits look great on you, if I had to choose one standout favourite, it's the black stunning timeless dress from The Fold, love the tailoring and glamour. Agree with many comments here, you look fabulous with the fringe and also without x
Hi Jen, thanks so much for that lovely comment:) I do love that laidback style, I’m not keen on feeling too ‘done’ in anything! Even dressing up as such in The Fold dress still feels simple and elegant:) How long have you lived in Barcelona? I have fond memories of travelling there with my best friend! X
@@FashionStyleEdit Same, too done just don't hang together for me. So we've been here 9 years now, moved from a suburb just outside Manchester called Chorlton to the heart of the old town in Barcelona with our rescue dog and literally a packed boot, no job, didn't speak Spanish and we knew one guy. Bit mad looking back, but luckily the stars aligned and we just love the lifestyle & culture. Also fab to nip back to see family & friends frequently. That's lovely you have good memories of the city, people tell me it's changed a lot over the years before we arrived.
Oh wow that is incredibly brave! I’d love to do that, the spontaneity of it all! The weather is so rubbish in this country I think there comes a point that you just think sod it, I need more sunshine! I know I’ll get to that stage once the boys fly the nest! Is it an expensive place to live? Like London prices or more affordable? Big hugs lovely x
Loved all these pieces and looks. And yes, I’ve been watching for the return of the fringe! It really does suit you. I’m with you completely on the Mary Jane style. Really like the ones you chose, very French. I have a classic pair of Via Spigas that I bought in New York a number of years ago. Black suede, pointy toes, D’Orsay cut, single strap. I pulled them out a couple of weeks ago, and said “Ladies, you are reborn!” 😂 Thank you for encouraging us to shop our own cupboards, and vintage! Hope you have a great week…and that we might see the sun again one of these days! 😎
Haha love that Eleanor! They sound amazing and even better that you didn’t have to buy any new ones:) Judging from the comments Mary Janes are very much a marmite piece but I personally love the style:) Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far lovely x
Hello my friend Jess 👋🏼, Another wonderful video. Some of my favorites are: the all white outfit, Maryjane shoes, cargo pants & the black off the shoulder dress. What about pairing the black dress with your tweed jacket & Maryjane shoes? Your hair looks pretty 😍. Have a great week. Thank you 😊. Cheers 😉🌷
Hey my lovely, hope you had a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for letting me know your favourites:) I actually paired it with a blazer in the end, it worked nicer than the shirt I thought and thankfully was so warm in London I didn’t really need it! Happy Monday hun, have a wonderful week ahead x
It’s another very impressive video Jess…thank you, i love all the outfits, especially the old hollywood, I have also been eyeing the cargo pant you wear, it’s a bit too high for me for a casual pant, as i’m mostly wear formal outfits to the office, i however found a very similar and good quality at Mossimo Dutti and the material very light band fall nice nicely on the body, perfect for hot Malaysian weather. Fold dress too is quite costly for me, I will look up for a cheaper similar version. Lilysilk have beautiful rib dress which is similar. ❤️❤️
Hi Jess. You always look so minimal and chic whatever the season. The only item that I can honestly say aren’t for me are Mary Janes but that has more to do with my feet and ankles rather than the style! You look beautiful with or without a fringe - I’ve had a fringe for many years and have to admit, it hides my wrinkles ! 💖🌸
Haha well in fairness I don’t have the best feet either🤣 But these do a good job of hiding them! Glad you like the fringe back, I’m so impatient aren’t I! But you’re right, it’s handy to hide the wrinkles or even just a bad hair day kinda looks more ‘done’ with a fringe somehow😂 Have a wonderful bank holiday lovely, fingers crossed for a bit more sunshine x
Hi Maddie, I have both the small in the blue and medium in the ecru. I think I prefer the slightly larger medium for a little bit of an oversized fit x
I love the white suit outfit. I’m currently looking for a great white suit, but it can’t have polyester linings, which makes it difficult, I’ll check the link for this one. I love Mary Janes, too, especially those with square toes like yours. US fashionistas say “always wear pointed toes”, but I can’t and I don’t love the way they look, either, they’re too dressy for the gymwear and ragged denim shorts most American women wear (not me, though). You always hit the right note for smart casual, Jess, most Americans just look sloppy.
Pointed toe shoes also make your feet look bigger and are not great for people with wider feet. I'm not a big fan of them either, I don't find them as comfortable as a round toe shoe.
Love the bangs/fringe Jess. Very brave to cut it yourself.. 😮I loved all of the outfits but I still not cannot find any cargo trousers that do not remind me of myself at 19! 😂 I think the denim skirt is great as I have a few from a few years ago so safe to say they are back in the closet. Yippee. Have a fabulous Sunday xx
Haha well yes that is the hazard with them! I’m not keen on that really 90s parachute look, it’s a hard one to pull off isn’t it! I would take a look at some of the more classic brands like Arket, Cos and Everlane for example. All doing a variation of the trend that’s a little more elevated. Big hugs my lovely, have a wonderful Bank holiday x
Hi Jess❣️I like your white on white outfit❣️🥰💕I think we should leave the Mary Jane shoes for little girls. I enjoy your upbeat personality❣️God bless you and your family ❣️🥰💕🙏🏻💕💕
Good morning Jess, very useful video, thanks. I think a trench coat would look good over your dress, hair in a low soft bun and a pair of vintage sunglasses. If you chose ballet flats instead of heels you could probably ditch the shirt as it would give a more relaxed vibe IMHO. Have a lovely Sunday!
Always watching your videos ! Love , love your preference especially the gold crochet top. Getting ideas of what i have in my closet and make the best. Hello from japan !
Happy Sunday lovely! I really like all of these, love the Mary Jane shoes, there’s just something about them. I’m taking my time rebuilding my wardrobe and actually having to take my time with purchasing each piece is a better way of shopping in my opinion. Hope you’re all well? You’ll be wearing those sunglasses this weekend, is beautiful outside! I caught the sun big style yesterday in my garden 🤣🤦🏻♀️ Have a wonderful long weekend hun!☀️ Take care and sending hugs as always xx
Love this video! You've just inspired me to get my pointy toe mary janes back out (they have straps like yours). But definitely a big "no" to clogs, mainly because they're often used by farmers in Denmark - having said that I do have a pair, so easy to slip my feet in when putting the rubbish out, and perfect when I'm standing on a ladder painting ceilings (not something I do often, but they do eliminate the sore feet I get when wearing softer shoes while standing on a ladder for prolonged periods).😂 I have a pair of Isabel Marant sneakers from last year, they're similar to those Adidas sell outs - I am in the market for a pair of bright red ones though... and I'm definately on the lookout for a pair of tailored cargos, baggy pockets are not what I'm after.
4:16 Those aren’t clogs. Clogs are closed toe, slip ons. Those are wooden platforms. I wish I had mine from the 70s; they had a leather insole built in and were the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned (and I’m 62).

New subscriber 😁 love your style!
Who makes the tan bucket bag?
That one is from Sezane x
I liked your clothes very much, especially the black dress. We will suit you very much, like Princess Kate 🥰
That’s so sweet of you to say thank you x
Hello from Ukraine!
Thank you for your useful informations ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉5:40 look is my favorite...!!!
Hello Nata, how's your week been lovely? Thanks so much for popping by and really hoping you found the video helpful:) Big hugs x
Great video , great taste, except for that long stiff skirt that I bought but do not like…… 🥴🤪😩
Love everthing except the denim skirts. They'll be thousands of those in landfill in a few weeks.
Haha that may well be true! I personally like the look but I know they're quite a marmite piece:) x
Personally I love them, and they will be easy to shorten if and when you so prefer..
I don't think I am very trend led nowadays. I like what I like, if it happens to be on trend all the better 😊. Jess you look amazing as always. X
Maybe so but they should be donated. By the way those skirts are very hard to find "broken in". Either you like them or not.
I love them! I think it depends on your body type, they just look ‘normal’ on a taller person because it’s in proportion
Style!
Love the hair.
My favorite ❤ Thank you for sharing!!!
Aww that’s sweet of you to say thanks lovely x
Love the idea, thank you for sharing this ❤
So happy to hear you enjoyed it Elizabeth x
Happy Sunday lovely!
I really like all of these, love the Mary Jane shoes, there’s just something about them.
I’m taking my time rebuilding my wardrobe and actually having to take my time with purchasing each piece is a better way of shopping in my opinion.
Hope you’re all well? You’ll be wearing those sunglasses this weekend, is beautiful outside! I caught the sun big style yesterday in my garden 🤣🤦🏻♀️
Have a wonderful long weekend hun!☀️ Take care and sending hugs as always xx
I just love the clogs and dress 😊❤
Aww thanks so much Louise, I love that look too:) x
Love this video! You've just inspired me to get my pointy toe mary janes back out (they have straps like yours).
But definitely a big "no" to clogs, mainly because they're often used by farmers in Denmark - having said that I do have a pair, so easy to slip my feet in when putting the rubbish out, and perfect when I'm standing on a ladder painting ceilings (not something I do often, but they do eliminate the sore feet I get when wearing softer shoes while standing on a ladder for prolonged periods).😂
I have a pair of Isabel Marant sneakers from last year, they're similar to those Adidas sell outs - I am in the market for a pair of bright red ones though... and I'm definately on the lookout for a pair of tailored cargos, baggy pockets are not what I'm after.
I like the fringe 😊 I have a similar hairstyle to yours, except mine is dark brown, and I always think a fringe sets off the eyes and cheekbones!
so sweet
That white blouse is so pretty. ❤
Thanks so much lovely, an old favourite:) x
9A Cargo joggers with heels.
4:16 Those aren’t clogs. Clogs are closed toe, slip ons. Those are wooden platforms. I wish I had mine from the 70s; they had a leather insole built in and were the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned (and I’m 62).
❤️❤️❤️
Love all your style. But today love your bangs most!
Aww thanks so much, appreciate that:) x
💕💕💕💕💕💕
I personally dont like Mary Janes. I want to purchase some platform chunky sandles ive spied recently for the warmer weather.
