very nice, I like the way you setup the four panels.

Thanks Pat! Being only 9ft wide we didn't have the luxury of having 2x2 which most boats have. I have heard that any shadowing caused by other tilted panels will affect the charging capacity so i think this is a gold set up (if indo say so myself 😊)

Oh it definitely does! Met some boaters who had just forked out £4000!!! This came to about £650 including the charger!

Hey, great to see this. I'm looking for a widebeam project and I'm going to somehow cram 4kW of panels on it and go fully electric.
Sorry I was watching with the volume off so apologies if I missed the reason why you made up 4 separate strings into the cabin. could you have used 4 splitters, 2 into 2?

Hiya! If we had decided to put the solar closer to fuse box we could have definitely split it closer to the panels but there was going to be a huge voltage drop due to the distance, so keeping the 4 leads and splitting down to 2 right by the mppt made the most of the energy. It was 100% the right thing to do because we get REALLY good solar from them. Even water sunny days draws loads!

How come you have so many items running 230V AC? TV/Heater/Washing mashine/Fridge. Most of them can come for 12 V DC. Then you don´t need all powerloss in the inverter. Same with laptops, WiFi, etc etc

We just have and LED TV which uses hardly any power & fridge because honestly we can't afford a 12v one. We run the washing machine early in the day and the same with the hot water so the batteries are charged back up by tea time by the solar. In an ideal world without the worry of money (esp during the current events) we would have all 12v. Maybe one day...

Thanks for letting me know! I'll go back to doing the music manually instead of trusting auto 😊

@@TheBoatFamilyxx When you import your audio... have your media creation for music set to at least -12db in your whatever you use for your editing system... that will be a better starting point... but I tend to always end up with the music down around -25 to -30db in scenes.

Why do you have to play your music so loud and your talking is so quiet.

I have played around with auto reduction for sound ans I guess it isn't working so will revert back to doing it manually. Thanks for the heads up 😊
