When you prime the filter aren''t you contaminating the the inside of filter with water of unknown quality?
Yes, that is one reason I fill the top tank twice before using it for drinking water.

I’m thinking about moving to Thailand about 90 miles south of Bangkok. I was thinking about bringing my big Berkey water filter with me. I was just searching videos looking to see if a Berkey system will even work with Thai tapwater???
I’m looking to save some money and not have to buy bottled water all the time.
I’ll just bring my stainless steel bottles with me and refill them and put them in the refrigerator grab one every every time I leave to go for a walk out and about.
I’m kind of wondering if I need any kind of special addition to the water filters like fluoride filters? Probably not.
What about showering under a rental house
I purchsed filters from you recently but somehow I don't have adapter I guess must of come when I originally bought. How can I get another adapter I can prime my filters???

I just got a berkey. When I test the water with a tds meter, I get .75 ppm. Is the berkey really safe?
If you want dead water water that is 0 ppm. Berkey water is live water. It has essential minerals that you body needs. I would never drink water with 0 ppm.
@LDSPrepper Thanks for the reply. Love the channel BTW. I'm hearing the fluoride filters don't remove fluoride. Can you refute this claim or point me in the direction of a video or link that does?

I’ve recently bought a Zero Water filter. It came with a little gadget that allows one to measure the metals in one’s water. Have you tried one of these? How does it compare to Berkey?
The tester shows the number of particles in the water. The particles could be dust, minerals, etc. This is a gimmick. Minerals in the water are natural and important.
Is that filter plastic going into a plastic bottle?
There is a small Berkey black filter in the Berkey food grade sport bottle.

Thanks for the warning. We are now home safe and sound and had a wonderful, safe, trip. Safety, is one of the main reasons we travel with a group and local guide.
No way would I go there. I'd prefer to stay close to my demographic, my people. Is this for spreading the word of God? Do it in North America at least!
We were tired of the long winter and wanted some sunshine and no snow. We were on photo safaris there.
