I LOVE this solo, I just wish it was longer. Maddie conveys Helen so nicely and not in a rude way, and her emotions really capture how stuck and confused she must’ve felt

Kieran Cooke, I know my comment is late but each dance in the competition is 10 minutes, while each pyramids are 4 hours, and the practicing is 12 hours is a day.

I adore this dance. I was obsessed with hellen keller when i was younger and i remember seeing this dance for yhe first time and getting so excited about how they protrayd her with the doll.
We actually learned about Helen Keller in our school and her story was so touching and amazing since she’s gotten through so many things while being deaf, mute, and blind.

Where did they find the music for her solo? I love this. Helen Keller has always been one of my heros ever since I was a kid. I’m a figure skater. I would love to portray Helen Keller in a skating routine someday. I think that would be amazing! Maddie did a phenomenal job playing this role. Probably one of my ultimate favorite solos from her.

Hellen is playing with her doll until Anne Sullivan take's it away and spells into her hand D-O-L-L this make's Hellen angry she start's throwing a tantrum and starts feeling for her beloved doll, she then sighns it back and gets the doll back

Fun fact: most people watching this are because of Maddie, not the actual person Helen Keller. And most of the people here don’t know who she is.
(Helen is a deaf and blind girl from the 1800s who learned how to speak which is very very talented! But it wasn’t so easy because when she was young, she couldn’t hear anyone or see anyone, so she couldn’t talk. She was like a baby. She caused tantrums and was angry all the time. It gets to the point where her parents had to call a teacher called Anne Sullivan to help Helen. This took months and months helping Helen. And one day, Helen was touching the water pumper with Anne until she spoke for the first time. And to put the cherry on top, ever since, Helen learned how to speak, but before she knew how to speak, she learned a sign language made by Mexicans called “braille”.)

Are we watching the same solo? Her feet were almost always pointed. The times they were flexed were when they were supposed to be forced in the choreography.

Just a random girl two reasons
1) Her acting skills in season two weren’t mature enough to play Hellen Keller.
2) At some competitions if a little kid does a dark dance, they deduct points to discourage the dance teacher from giving such dark dance.
