My absolute favorite Maddie solo. The music was beautiful and it shocks me that Maddie was only 8 and she put such emotion and power into this dance. Her maturity and technique was amazing!
This solo is flawless. My all time favorite Maddie solo. I miss when abby have her solos like this. I feel now she only gives her solos when she is turning the entire time. Her emotion is just amazing and the way she tells stories is just outstanding. Maddies is just so amazing.
For a 9 year old doing a deep dance and dancing THIS mature was so amazing. She was so fluid, took her steps with musicality and felt with the song, she shouldve won with this 100%.
This is literally Maddie's best solo. Her facials varied greatly and I can tell she loved this dance. Idk why she didn't get first. The first place winner must've been really really good.
Actually if you see the dance that beat her (keely meyers ; speaking french) you will see that she deserved the first place cause that dance speaking french isn't a really good one ! Just mu opinion !
There's also Leaving Berlin (a solo outside of the show that not too many know about). That solo has the best choreography by Abby I've ever seen, and the acting was spot on. :)
Abby Lee and Gianna are truly incredible choreographers regardless of the repetitiveness the creativity behind this piece. A student of mine recreated disappear and safe to say it was so hard to compete with. Truly beautiful piece maddie really exceeded all expectations
Yeah, I agree. I'm not necessarily a Maddie fan or Chloe fan because I prefer Mackenzie or Paige but I was shocked when I found out this dance was 2nd. It was completely perfect.
I can't believe she was only in 2nd grade when she did this. I know that a lot of people don't feel she is the best dancer, but if you stop looking at the dance itself, and see the emotion and acting in it, its hard to believe a 2nd grader can do so good at such a difficult and mature topic. good job!

I DONT KNOW HOW I STARTED IT TO BE PERFECT OR WHEN BUT I PLAYED SAFE AND SOUND OVER THIS AND I SWEAR IT FITS TEN MILLION BAJILLION TIMES BETTER. I almost started crying because it fit SO GOOD! everytime she did something it fit perfectly with the music i swear.
I definitely used to favor Chloe over Maddie- everyone loves an underdog story. But just watching this solo, the execution of both technique and emotion is truly unparalleled by anyone on the team. I have to admit that, although Chloe was amazing, this solo is so heart-wrenchingly beautiful I don't know how it lost.
Watching Chloe’s solo, it’s HER technique and emotion that was TRULY unparalleled by anyone else on the team. Maddie made mistakes and her technique wasn’t on par with Chloe’s Dream on a Star. Dream on a Star was PERFECT! Although maddie is amazing, this solo doesn’t TOUCH the absolute heart-pulling smile-putting BEAUTY that is Dream on a Star
I honestly don't know how she does it at her age in front of cameras knowing that any mistake she makes will be broadcasted to the world, and still does incredible. when i was performing at her age i was terrified to mess up in front of my parents, much less millions of viewers. wow. so talented.
