  • Matthew 24:32-51 - No one know the day or hour
"I say to you this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place."
Fig trees are common in Israel. They are well known for going dormant in the colder weather. All of their leaves fall off, the trees stand barren, looking like they have died through the Winter months. But every Spring something amazing happens, the trees begin to bud, new leaves come out, they are reborn!
In the Old Testament God often referred to Israel as a Fig tree [Hosea 9:10]. Jesus predicted that like a Fig tree, Israel would appear to have died, the nation would disappear for almost 2000 years. But one day something amazing would happen, the nation would be reborn [May 14, 1948].
Jesus would go on to say that the generation that sees this remarkable rebirth, would be the LAST generation. All things would come to pass, the Tribulation, Abomination of desolation, and the Return of Jesus in their lifetime.
We have seen Israel reborn. We are the last generation. The question becomes when does the end begin?
