Not sure what this means. What is “Sunday law”, and how does it relate to a prophecy update?

@@TheMastersHarvest Again, as the church has both historically and currently viewed 2nd Esdras as being non-canonical, then we also would not accept it as being authoritative. It is an apocryphal book that, although translated into Greek in the Septuagint, and from there into the Latin Vulgate, it was never embraced by either the early church fathers, the Catholic Church, or the Protestant reformation.

Recall that the same Grace that saves us - Ephesians 2:8-9 - is also the same grace by which we mature and grow in Christ - Galatians 3:3. If I am understanding your inquiry. Yes, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world [John 3:16]. And while it is the desire of God for the whole world to be saved [2 Peter 3:9] - It is up to each individual to choose to put their faith in Jesus [Romans 10:13]. If your question devolves to only worthy people can be saved [not murderers or rapists] - you are sadly mistaken as to our nature. For every one of us is a sinner [Romans 3:23]. And Jesus elaborates that if you have hated a brother - you are a murderer [Matthew 5:22] and if you have very looked at a woman lustfully you are an adulterer [Matthew 5:28]. Recall that both King David [2 Samuel 12:9] and the Apostle Paul [Acts 26:10] were murderers - yet both are in heaven. If your question is Jesus the only way to heaven. The answer is a resounding YES! There is only one way to be saved from our sin and that is through Him [John 14:6]

Thousands of Christians are leaving the religion every single day when such illogical answers are being fed by pastors/priests. You are not making it better. The concept of salvation implies injustice and unfairness, and how is it that way if God is the most just? How can God introduce such ideas to the world? Wait, Did Jesus even preach about this concept of salvation during his lifetime? No, he did not! It was Paul! He was responsible for creating the version of Christianity we have now, and developed it newly! Paul emphasizes the idea of justification by faith rather than by works of the law, changing the laws, commandments, and the teachings of Jesus himself! The concept of salvation in Christianity posits that even those who commit heinous acts can be forgiven and granted eternal life if they repent and believe? That's it? Ah, no wonder the crime rate in America is at its all-time high! Don't you see how this concept is so dangerous to society? People would abuse it, thinking that they would receive eternal life anyways if they repent and believe in Jesus after committing multiple horrendous crimes like drug trafficking, rape, and murder? School shooters? After all the suffering they caused, they are going to be forgiven in the end?

My apologies. It seems we have very different views about the Bible. As you question the authority of the Pauline epistles and the integrity of the canon of scripture it would seem we are going to have to disagree.

You either go in circles or go "red herring". Jesus upheld the 10 commandments, whereas Paul the deviant abolished and created a whole new version of Christianity just by claiming he met Jesus in a vision. Are you really a follower of Jesus or Paul's lies?

The verse "Jesus died for the sins of the whole world" The whole world, refers to everyone. However you twist it like a good old devious priest and inserted a criterion, that only those who believed in Jesus shall receive salvation. Thats lying! Jesus said he died for the sins of the whole world! If the only criterion is to believe in Jesus in order for you to enter paradise, any murderers, or that guy who raped a 18yo lady who believes in Jesus shall be forgiven and enter paradise! Wow a religion of logic and fairness. Jesus is the most wise!

If we spend all our time trying to get more money - then we have no time left to live for Jesus. People waste their lives chasing after the dream of being rich. Sadly they do so at the expense of their eternal life 😔
