Here is Maddie performing her solo "Quiet Voices" as a title holder, Miss Small Fry of DEA!!
She performed this solo in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 2012!!

Anybody else feel like this dance could have been so much more if they had left Maddie’s hair down? Like in a ponytail or something? She does these subtle head movements, but with her hair locked in place with a bun their emotional effect is diminished
most judges don’t like it when the dancers hair is down or in a ponytail because it flies in their face and then takes away the emotion and you can’t see their face as well. that’s why the producers kept their hair in twists and buns for most of the time.
I believe this solo is so underrated, she danced gorgeous here. The music, choreography, costume, etc. it’s beautiful, it fits Maddie
Honestly, I love this solo and the camera angles. Amazing video 👏🏼
It shows how beautiful Maddie’s facials are without the camera zooming in too much on her face and making her facials look over exaggerated. From this perspective, her facials were gorgeous.

@@pric4799 you there were other girls on the team that had facial expressions and emotions. Maddie's facial expressions and emotions were the same but she was a good dancer

I know there were other girls on the team who had wonderful facial expressions and emotions, I never did otherwise. But this solo is about Maddie so I only talked about Maddie 😄
Personally, I disagree with the second part - I believe that Maddie had a variety of wonderful facial expressions. I also agree that Maddie was a very good dancer - they all were good dancers.

I never used to like this solo but I like this version so much better than what they showed on the show, still don’t think the choreo did her justice though

What style is this lyrical contemporary???
it says contempt on the show but I rarely see seconde turns let along turn sequences in contemporary so it looks like lyrical more to me :)

Is anybody else feel like the full version is less exciting than what we saw on TV? Maybe because Abby was talking so highly of Maddie while she was dancing and what we saw on TV, but this version for me feels a little bit more sloppy than the one I saw on TV as far as her feet especially because these contemporary movements are very intricate and she’s not really hitting everything as sharply as I thought I saw on TV 10 years ago. This does showcase her musicality and stage presence beautifully, but I think the slight technical errors and, slight lack of control is also showcased, and I think that’s what’s taking away from it for me. As I’ve grown as a dancer, I have learned to appreciate dancing and emoting through the body and that is not something that Maddie does to the full extent and I think that’s what I notice and it pulls me out of it a little bit. Sometimes it just looks like she’s performing the movement rather than actually dancing through it, and it’s amazing how much my ballet has improved, because I totally see what the Joffrey was saying about her! I feel proud of myself lol.
I agree with you. She really didn't seem all that into this performance. It didn't have anything dynamic about it and I feel like she looked bored. Her leaps weren't as high as usual, she rushed a bit. I think she was having fun when she did this on the show, but was stressed or something here
