- This rabbit hunting trip was a zip out to a property I haven't hunted in over 10 years. Used to hold decent rabbit numbers and a fair few foxes. I was keen to get out on my new ATV Quadbike and give the thermal scope and scanner a run on the rabbits. Since the drought broke the grass has really shot up, The owner had warned me it was quite hard to see the rabbits and foxes but no way I was staying home. As you will see I racked up a fair old tally of rabbits shot with the thermal scope. I also shot a large feral cat and everyone know's I love nailing them.

Absolutely agree its a satisfying hunt when you take a feral cat out of the equation...I always feel like I've done a solid favour for the local natives in the area. I'm in SE QLD and just got back earlier this week from a 4 day shooting trip with my older son who's in his early 20's...when I go with one or both of my sons, I take a back seat and let them do the shooting and as usual we did some spotlighting each night and my son took a couple of cats out with a Browning BL22 with iron sights...great video mate, thanks for sharing, I love watching your videos.

Bush bunny breakfast, readily served for the native scavengers, when they arise.That thermal footage is perfect, leaves enough 'gruesome' out, that your mind can easily paint the rest. oh, and your ATV work bench, is a techno marvel.

Yah it's a little different than a mouse to a moose. It would take a pretty big caliber to scatter moose parts from them guys. I don't hunt the big wildlife at all for a long time now. All though I love venison and prairie antelope taste the best for me. I like to kill time watching you guys and keep knocking them down and be safe. Till then.

That 204 certainly sorts the bunnies out, looks like no one's shot on there for quite some time with the way the game was responding to the rifle shots, great vid, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Chris. That's a bizarre point on the hunting pressure. He let's a few groups on and one was there last weekend. Biggest factor is the thermal, no lights. Shine a white light around and everything livens up a LOT.

Thanks mate. The thermal certainly made it possible to see them but the lights were near useless. I reckon they have been breeding up since the drought safe and sound in that grass from other shooters..... Until a thermal wielding muppet with a 204 turned up 😀

Awesome trip mate, think you got the pulsar dialed in nicely. The quad looks the goods too. Get yourself a oztrail gazebo, quick and easy for base camp wet weather protection

That certainly ended up be a productive little trip. Having both the NV and Thermal certainly doesn't give the rabbits much of a chance. Good to see the bike getting a run👍👍

@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK clearly they don't understand the damage being done. Perhaps they would rather watch native animals being hunted by feral dogs, cats and foxes? Or the damage to the environment causes by pigs ripping up the ground. Bloody tree huggers.

Well done m8 those Feral Cat's do so much devastation here in Australian to our wildlife those things are big too nothing like a demestic cat, alot of people just don't understand,fair few rabbits there too,hope you keeped a few Bunny legs for a nice stew and dumplings dinner hmmm always tastie!!!!! nice too see a bit of outback bush and daybreak and sunsets a real treat thankyou!!!

I don't know they had this many either TBH. The thermal was the game changer, was amazing what I couldn't see with a normal light. Yet obvious as in the scanner.
NICE SHOOTIN'...I enjoy your videos. Just the right combination of shooting and talking. Some people just feel the need to fill up all their video with audio of themselves blithering on about nothing.
