I'm not saying I don't like the Sachsen, but I had really hoped for the Schleswig Holstein battleship, as she has quiet the historical significance. And also I'm from there so... But thank you for the video and putting your thoughts out about the battleship problem.
Because Sachsen is a subclass of Bayern, which was supposed to get a diesel engine, slightly longer hull, heavier by 200 t, and additional armor over diesel. So I would say they added it because its slightly different from Bayern but not completely Bayern in oppose if they added Baden. Oh and it the only ship of its class with diesel because the forth one Württemberg would be again with turbine as flagship with additional quarters for crew

The stern armor bulkhead was also extended further to the rear on Sachsen in-game, as well as the additional armor over the diesel engine location, 200mm armor extending forward of the third turret barbette. I'm not able to verify the length increase as I own neither of the vessels, but Sachsen also did get a new 3D model, as her hull slightly different with the lack of anti-torpedo netting gear. The X-Ray model for the engines appears identical to the Bayern; and her top speed is shared with the Bayern (Did the diesel intend to improve speed? Or range?)
Could also be good with another Lorraine-class. Lorraine in-game only has four turrets due to getting a catapult in the interwar years whereas the other ships of the class kept the five turret configuration. That's 20% primary firepower increase at the cost of AA. A Normandie-class could also be nice
Because it's been more than a year since last German tech tree capital ship is implemented while they can't give Gneisenau or Bismarck because they know people were feeling bad about World of Scharnhorst in current 7.0 naval battle
@kiranplays2688 The fact that Scharn had excellent gun performance and her survivability being so above the rest. She was one of the key ships in mind when they implemented the new damage model for ships, including the ability to rip permanent holes in a ship, because Scharn could just take the damage and keep fighting effectively.
@@bb-152ussmeta9At least it's realistic given how badly Scharnhorst got jumped irl and still took so many hits. This may be why they also aren't too keen in adding the Bismarck, the survivability of the hull would be insane and just not fair.
Hey Napalmratte how is your green circle directly on your cursor? Mine at 2km or closer if I aim directly at the enemy. Lets say they are 1.5km away the guns are aiming at the water 1km for example. And I essentially have to aim so high up I can even see the enemy

"Equalize the nations" Gaijin blanches in pure horror seriously lol, they don't really want to do that, a balanced game doesn't sell gigantic numbers of one or two vehicles (ahem, 2S38/TURMS/CV90105 post change). it's so silly how they keep giving the most powerful nations even more powerful ships while new nations (that they charged truly obscene amounts for people to access) get left to rot... by the time France gets a Dunkerque, the Japanese, Americans, Germans and Russians will have 5-8 battleships/battlecruisers that can easily dispatch the ONE French BB that actually stands any chance against them...
You know KMS Lützov would just be another Graf Spee. Gneisenau would be a dumb addition. I wouldnt say dumb but kinda pointless(it would be cool though. I would like to see it). Because you see how hard it is to kill a Scharnhorst. Yeah they both have their own differences but their designs are overall almost identical(ex: Hipper and Eugen)
If they are adding never completed ships, so i will hope they will add Mackensen-class battlecruiser too in the future. Maybe even Ersatz Yorck-class, as i have nothing against some more "paper" designs like this.

So did Gaijan nerf naval rewards, 7 kills and you only get 4,600 RP 19k SL. Before the 11th anniversary that would get you atleast 10 to 15k rp and around 50k sl. SMH gaijin
the whole reason why Gaijin introduced Sachsen and not something else is to prepare excuse for adding all the fantasy ships for Russia in the future ... Sovetsky Soyuz, Stalingrad, etc ... they need some other ship from another nation first they can point to later and say look, we added never constructed ships for other nations too. While other nations are still missing actual existing ships they constructed and used during war, priority for Gaijin is giving russians yet another batch of fantasy vehicles their industrial base wasn't capable of ever getting operational.

In terms of survivability, Eugen is best among the heavy cruisers because she has overlapping armor protecting her citadel, and a turtle back armor scheme. Des Moines on the other hand is hands above the best heavy cruiser in terms of firepower. Due to her autoloading guns and her Super Heavy AP shells, makes her even a threat to early dreadnoughts.
@thelasthussar between the two, I would choose Des Moines. While not the most survivable, she has the capability to punish most ships in just a few minutes' worth of volleys. Your best bet is to stick to range, and allow your teammates and bots to rush in while you aim for the enemy ships citadel or, if you can't viable pen it, aim to disable gun turrets.
I agree that the nation needs to be equalized, But if the ussr is gonna get bigger caliber guns they need to fix their fantasy 12" shells first, and not give the bigger guns more OP fantasy shells.

They don't really add pre-dreadnought battleships in game as Schleswig Holstein was, so maybe in the future if they will add other pre-dreadnoughts.

lol no Gaijin went for quick copy paste model with just +6 88mm guns none of the changes to the hull or the engine was implemented

Bind the adjust range to ur mousewell to make the gun quickly go up and down (how ever the situation pleases)

There are already a number of never completed ships in the game, and more are definitely coming in the future.

Sachsen ist n Backup ohne Backup Gutschein zu kosten. Wie gesagt, kein nennenswerter Unterschied. Trotzdem verstärkt es das lineup
