      To be fair . Novak is the most sincere with the plaudits for me . Always humble and complementary, even in DEFEAT.The other two could do little more of this, when it's the other way around. When Novak whips their asses on other surfaces.

    To Novak fans, from a Rafa fan: Novak Djokovic is not only a consummate tennis player (obviously one of the greatest ever), but a gentleman and a philosopher. The way he pushed Rafa to 3 sets in a very tight match (Rafa only won 3 more points) after spending 5 hours on court in 2 matches the day before is testament to his extraordinary mental and physical capacities. Being able to watch these 2 eternal gladiators who only have tremendous respect for one another and who have pushed one another to always reach for greater heights for so many years has been an honour and pleasure. Nadal needs to pay attention to the second set when playing against Djokovic. He is losing second sets quite often to Djokovic and this shifts the momentum against him. Happened the same in RG 21 semifinals. Novak is a better retriever of match when coming from behind as compared to anyone in the world. To be consistent against him, the second set cannot be missed out especially in a Grand Slam.

    • @Alboravin
      @Alboravin 3 года назад +10

      Depends on the hard court. At the slower USO it’s a slight advantage to Rafa (as long as his service game is on point and he stays aggressive). RG is overwhelmingly advantage Rafa. On the other hand at the faster AO hard court it’s all Nole of course, and a slight advantage to Nole at Wimbledon whenever they’ve met over the past decade.
      The way I see it with these two (currently) joint goats 🐐 is that they are simply split up between faster and slower courts, Nole is the 🐐 on faster courts (although somewhat debatable with Federer) and Rafa the undisputed 🐐 on slower surfaces.
      The other main difference is that Nole has had higher highs (most weeks at #1, two of the single greatest seasons of all time in 2011 and 2015) but also lower lows in the rankings compared to Rafa, who’s been more steady and consistent there throughout the years (a record 800+ weeks and counting in the top 10, of which 570+ weeks or 71% have been spent in the top 2), and all of this despite injuries to both players throughout their careers. Both have incredible, difficult to beat records under their respective names. One is the 🐐 of faster surfaces (with a higher ceiling in his game), the other is the 🐐 of slower surfaces with unmatched consistency for 15+ years and counting.
      We have to enjoy these guys while they’re still plying their trade on a tennis court - Father Time and injuries over the next few years will likely soon beat them into retirement.

      @@renaj1476 federer nadal is an emotional, western media romanticized rivalry. In sport terms, it is much beyond the other 2 rivalries, as Federer did not beat Nadal in ANY Grand Slam match between 2007 Wimbledon and 2017 AO. Nadal totally dominated Federer for most of their rivalry and it is only in the last couple of years that Federer improved a bit their H2H. Nadal and Novak played most matches in the history of the sport. Even Fed-Novak's rivalry is more exciting than Fedal as these two beat each other everywhere and on any given occasion, producing some totally crazy matches (2019 Wimbledon? 2010 - 2011 USO? 2011 RG?....)
