Weird, usually Cracker Barrel Cheese is strong tasting....however I use the Wal-Mart brand block cheeses. I make mine with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, colby-jack cheese, and half the amount of pepper jack cheese as well as Velveeta cheese. I also use milk and cream. Because I use pepper jack cheese the only seasoning I use is salt, ground black pepper and smoked paprika. This makes a very creamy, cheesey baked Mac and Cheese. I really don't have measurements as I've been cooking for 45 years, lol! I love watching videos like yours to see if anything I haven't made pops up or to try a someone else's recipe for a change! You have a very nice channel and I do enjoy watching you cook!
I just used this recipe to make a pan of this mac and cheese to go along with my brown stew chicken and rice and peas ! I followed everything to the T and it is BUSSING !! This mac is so creamy and cheesy and flavorful I love itttttt
Looks good. I warm the milk in the microwave first, so it mixes in with the hot ingredients easily. It also wouldn't hurt to let your cream cheese sit out for a bit so it's not ice cold.
I make mine pretty similar to yours. ❤Except I don’t add in the flour. Or I’ll substitute the milk for half and half. Also I add in Mozzarella with the cooked pasta and sauce so I get that nice cheese stretch lol.
Girrrrrl! This is so yummy. I will say I made a mistake but it turned out so good. I put the chicken bouillon in the Mac and cheese and not in the water!! 😂😂 I’d say do half and half b/c it was a bit salty but I just added more cheese and cream and it worked out so good. Thanks so much for this.

We've always used cracker barrel cheese for our macaroni BUT we use maybe 2-3 Extra Sharp cheddars, a couple of Gouda and I'm going to try Colby Jack this year also. I've used many other cheeses and many don't compare 😪 I'm thinking you had too much milk in this recipe so it watered down the taste a bit All in all, thanks for sharing....I'm definitely going to try your seasonings!
Looks, so good! I think the roux, maybe could use a tad less milk and cream to butter-flour ratio, possibly this is why it was so loose. I like cracker barrel cheese, but can no longer find it in California, actually surprised to see it here, thought maybe it had been taken off the market. Thanks for posting.

I made this tonight. It was way more than enough cheese, trust me. 😅 I was thinking I could’ve used another box of noodles to balance it out. I loved what the creole seasoning did to the taste. It was very rich. I’m going to try and make it again but less salt and less cheese 😊 But it was very good! The best I’ve tasted so far.

i'm dieting, but i wish i could make this sooo much. my family mac & cheese recipe actually involves cottage cheese which i thought sounded gross when i was first told about it, but somehow it makes it taste soso good. literally the best mac & cheese i've had has used cottage cheese as a base.

Extra Sharp/sharp cheddar is the true secret behind a good Mac n cheese. She didn’t use enough cheese in her sauce.
I layer my baked macaroni like a lasagna... about three levels... every layer has alot of extra sharp cheddar cheese between it... ppl love it...

Nice.....my recipe is similar but I've found that you don't need the flour to make the sauce so I omit that and it turns out perfectly every time 😉
