want to add that power whip is 10 more energy and Goodra isn't really ever used as a closer (where powerwhip would be better), but more of a safe switch, so that extra energy can take shields versus for example water pokemon, just imo though, but i think thunder punch adds some extra flexability, so i don't think TP is as bad as you're saying, although i do agree a better move altogether should have been given
Gyarados is normally a top meta threat for ML premier, which now is gonna be threatened to get one shot by the goodra
I wanna use Outrage Gyarados next ml premier cuz it can actually win the zeros against Goodra after just barely surviving a thunder punch.

@@Just-J2 doesn’t matter I would never purify a shiny shadow just to get better pvp ivs, one of the unspoken rules of pokemon go is to never purify a shiny shadow
@@s.Friel6942 Lmfao, no it isn't. Rarity is still the same, Value is still the same. The rule is to never purify a shadow that has USE. Most people, especially those who dabble in trades, alway purify shiny shadows for trading in Pokemon Home/in game or to get a shundo.

Yeah um goodra with thunder punch is rank 1 for ML premier. Dragonite has been number 1 for so long. I still think goodra would be better with dragon claw or breaking swipe

Same. Really only pay on free time at work or traveling. They're just too many changes I hate and money spent is just not worth it anymore
For ML and UL definetly stick with powerwhip, but for GL you would want Thunderpunch as you would pick up 3 additional wins in an even shield scenario. Try running it in pvpoke to check.
I think Thunder Punch Aqua tail is the best move for Goodra in UL. As a safeswich TP seems more flexibel. Now you can hit Dragonite for nutral, Pidgiot and Mandibus for SE. The only real benefit to Power vip is the swampert matchup but you there AT is okey.
Thunder punch in masterleague for Lugia match up...like its gonna make you win that match up😂
It could be useful in premier for the gyarados matchup
Torterra would even be tremendously better if it got leafage

I feel like Ice Beam, Fire Punch, or giving us the Hissuian version would've been better.

Goodra should’ve been added to the list of Pokémon that got thunder punch in this move update initially and we could’ve gotten almost any other move and it would’ve fit better
Really don’t understand why Thunder punch is the com-day move.
As a move generally it’s even worse than Aqua tail.
Its not that bad of a move because it improves goodra and its not really about aqua tail "being better" its more about coverage because it can be so much better in mlp against pokemon like gyarados

Getting a community move to cover flying type and only in GBL. I mean we are getting Moves like Hydro canon, Blast burn.

Goodras problem is it loses to dragons because all its moves are resisted. It really needed dragon claw and instead got thunder punch which is honestly kinda useless in ultra league and not a great move in general.
So is it worth it or not? Or should we still use the old moveset

I think it’s no good , goodra is pure dragon , it’s weak to itself , ice and fairy. Thunder is neutral or resistant to electric , plus the Charge move isn’t fast so who cares. It’s a waste of
Breaking swipe > Thunder punch
They probably wouldn’t give that move to a bulky mon. They realized their mistake with steelix and had to nerf the move cuz of it. The rest of the breaking swipe users, sceptile, haxorus, heliolisk, rayquaza are all frail.

@@dacubanmofo maybe if it were still 100% debuff, but at 50% it wouldnt really matter given the effect that had on steelix and Goodra is a fraction of bulk compared
