    Thanks for the video. Love the cadence of your narrative. Nice and slow and concise. I can actually follow what you are showing. Go figure!

    Do you know what you do if during the framing setting your laser goes to the side rail and sounds an alarm? I have checked the wires and all are attached.

      The only time that has happened to me is when my image is too large for the engraver. When I frame something large and it moves too far to one side, then my alarm sounds. Maybe your image/creative is too large. You may also need to tighten your belts on the engraver.

    I need help for marking smaller objects. Especially smaller round objects like the wooden key rings they send you. The xtool wants me to mark the the key ring in 3 different spots.

    Does it normally over shoot the project size on project? I am doing a tumbler

      Make sure you have your chuck roller selected, your rotary tool is plugged in, and you are in inches instead of mm (if you are from the US)
      Then it’s best to frame it a few times before you start your engraving.

    Hello and thank you for the video. How to make the 9 framing points appear on the image?
    Mine no longer appear as on your video

      There may be a setting on Creative Space that allows you to add it back to your program. I have never encountered this problem, so I am unsure of an answer. Contact Xtool tech-support if you cannot find the answer!

    Still not quite sure i understand the origin dot thing. Would be helpful if you had showed how the laser lines on the cutter correspond to this.
    Is this where you put the laser crosshairs in relation to the image before cutting?

    • @tarheelengraving
      @tarheelengraving  10 месяцев назад +1

      Think of each image as a square with 9 available starting points. Top Left, Top Middle, Top Right, Middle Left, Middle, Middle Right...Bottom Right. The origin point is where you would start your engraving. Let's say I have an image that needs to cover a whole piece of a circular coaster. Since a circle doesn't have corners, I could find the middle of the coaster, frame it, then start my engraving. As long as the image is sized correctly, then the project should turn out right.

    Just got my D1 Pro 20W, but when I put the material that came with the machine (piece of basswood approximately 8.25” by 6”) under the laser to be framed, the laser moves all over and way bigger than the wood and hits the edge and sets off the limit alarm…please help

      Here are a couple of tips:
      - Make sure that the settings are in inches
      - Ensure your belts are tightened
      - Make sure that your engraver is updated to the newest update

    I did the framing and aligned it to my material however when the engrave actually ran it was off by about 1" from where the framing told me it would be? Any idea why it would do this or how to fix it?

    • @tarheelengraving
      @tarheelengraving  9 месяцев назад

      Here are the three Troubleshooting ideas listed online. Maybe one of them can help!
      1. Check the installation of the TF card. The framing function may not work if the TF card is not installed correctly.
      2. Ensure that you have updated to the latest firmware.
      3. Check that the timing belt and other cores are properly installed.

    Why is origin paint greyed out? I cannot select it no matter what I do. Maybe this is bc Im running on a Mac? I can enable the laser but not the move or origin options

      I am using Dell, so I am unsure. Maybe try to update your laser or delete then re-download Xtool Creative Space. If that doesn't work, contact support.

    On my S1 I can put my cursor in the framing speed box and typing in speeds less then 80.

      I use the Xtool D1 Pro, but all speed/power capabilities on all lasers are different.

    I'm still confused. I added a new image to XCS, then click framing. That same image pops up telling me to push the button on the Xtool D1Pro. I press it and then the laser just moves in a big square pattern that's moving way past the purple business card (sample that came in the box). Does that mean it will engrave in the large pattern or what am I missing here? I'd expect "framing" to mean it will capture the material to be cut and therefore only move in the 2" x 3" square. Instead it's moving in a 12" x14" square pattern. Is there anyone who has a clear video instruction on how to properly frame so you don't engrave out of the area the actual material is set to?

      Make sure that the size of your project is 2" x 3" or less, then it should frame correctly. The framing feature frames the size of your project on XCS. So, if you start the framing function on the top left corner, then size the project at 2" x 3", then it should frame correctly.
      Maybe this link will help too:

    This didn’t help my situation in framing. I’m looking for a start point on the actual machine. Where should I place my fabric to cut? Center of the honeycomb grid? Upper left hand corner?? Where? I keep getting an error message. Stating I went far beyond my framing.

    when i am through engraving, how do i remove the image form the screen and keep it saved?

    • @tarheelengraving
      @tarheelengraving  8 месяцев назад

      Go to the File icon, in the top left corner. Then hit "save as", then you can name it. It will save in your downloads folder.

    When I start to frame from top left, the laser goes to the bottom right? This happened out of nowhere. It was working fine now everything seems to be backwards

    • @tarheelengraving
      @tarheelengraving  11 месяцев назад +1

      Three thoughts come to mind:
      -Make sure that you haven't inverted something in your settings.
      -Ensure that your origin point is at the top left. I talk about that @1:46 in the video.
      -Check for updates of your engraver/Creative Space. I show how to do this at 2:20 on this video - ruclips.net/video/u-J_Q9IpW4g/видео.html.

    When i frame. My laser just goes up and down. It NEVER moves in a square (frame)

    • @tarheelengraving
      @tarheelengraving  6 месяцев назад

      That happened to me one time and it was because the belt was not tight enough and it caused the rollers to slip. Try tightening the black belt on the horizontal part of your laser that the engraver module is attached to. That may help.
