Hi this is so nice to know as I am looking to buy this now too. I am also wondering what litter you use. It sort of looks like worlds best. Do you recommend any other litters or is that just what you use? Thanks!
Got it & been trying it out & might bring back … because the inside gets quite splattered with mess & one time the waste didn’t drop so it held up the operation.
Seems it's dependent on cat behavior or litter. I had one issue so far that seemed to smear a #1 clump. I adjusted the "clean up time" in the app from 3 mins to 7 mins to allow more clumping time and haven't had any issue since. Worth playing with.
@@FlippinSweetGear update! cat finally started using it! kept the normal litter box by it for a while until he got used to the spot then took the litter box away and he used the new one
@@cwinter112 I just bought these. It’s a little overkill on the amount but I use them for a lot things. They banned them at grocery stores in my state so I have to buy them. www.walmart.com/ip/157457864
@@ms.c.2897 yeah so far it seems way better at containing the smell. I rarely smell anything. Occasionally the big cat will bomb the thing but it’ll subside.
@FlippinSweetGear My mom has the els pet And that seems to keep the smell pretty well contained, So I'm glad to hear this one will be as good or better. Just ordered! It's the same price ($299), or maybe a little cheaper than elspet(~$330?). But being an american company, I trust it much more.
@@ms.c.2897 That's where I'm at after going through customer service with ElsPet. They did not honor the stated warranty in the listing. I had to hammer the Amazon seller who sold it under some other name brand even though they told me to go through ElsPet. Those things seem to be mass produced and under various brand names. They're sketchy. I feel much better with PetSafe long-term if I need parts or whatever. Now I have a brand-new elspet unit that I'll just keep for backup lol.
@@nataliemorse4362 so far so good. No complaints. Cats are happy. I like the large waste bin and the fact i can use plastic shopping bags with it. The app could use a few little tweaks but nothing that serious.
Thanks!
Thank you for this! I've been looking EVERYWHERE to see how this worked!
Glad I could help!

Clumping litter is recommended, I personally use the Purina 24/7 litter brand Works fine It’s clumping as well.
The crystal litter works too.

thanks gonna try it out
So far so good for me. How is it going?
@@FlippinSweetGear this is my first automatic litter box so my cat is a bit spooked by it, doing my best to guide him to use it
@@nellaf420 They seem to get used to it. There is a litter attractant by First Step I bought, but not sure if was necessary or not. Good luck!

Can you send me the link of the bags you bought that fit the tray?

Menards bags are the best if you have a menards.
do you still recommend this ? is it hard to clean ? anything else to note ? TYSM!
@@minmin_meow yup I’m a fan. It’s good bang for the buck. I put up a newer video with my results after a month.
How's the smell compared to the elspet (amazon) one you have? Is the tray pretty sealed when you're not opening it?
