My personal favorite big weapon is the golem halberd. Its moveset isn’t perfect, leaves a decent bit to be desired, but its damage and the “weight” feel so good that I can live with it. It just feels good to use.
The reason hunters take a long time around Castle Sol is because there has been a spawn "bug" in that area since release (and hasn't been fixed) that spawns blues at the very back outside the castle. So it takes couple of mins to get to the door at which point either invader or host is dead.
Love the videos chase, you've always managed to get me back into Elden ring/dark souls, one of or if not my favorite RUclipsr, keep up the great content and can't wait for the dlc
I don't know if you know this, Chase, but the Great Club can be buffed with Order's Blade (while most weapons can't be) along with two buffs typically available to most faith builds; Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength for insanely high AR. My build with it has an AR of 1353 in PvP but I'm sure it can reach MUCH higher levels! Very highly recommend revisiting the weapon, though I know you've used it before. Anyway, keep it up, your content is great

It's a good AoW but you're stuck to the weapon, and with the hyperarmor update colossals doesn't really need the extra poise. Endure is still superior simply because it's an all-purpose AoW, and makes fist weapons unstoppable.
Fun video idea: An official "Chase The Bro PvP Guide" Either in real pvp or with a friend, you'd walk through all your decision making. Why you're running away, why you didn't finish someone off, etc. Also tips for different playstyles, like colossal weapons, quick dex weapons, magic, incants, what spacing to use, when you should run away, tricks to avoid getting trapped in a roll catch chase/how to counter it, etc. How we would have to go about defeating a professional PvPer like you lol. Know what I mean? Lol
At least for pve I like 20 dex for the black bow. Its an extremely useful tool to either status effect a boss or pull a group from range to funnell them into a better location/whittle them down from range. Also useful when the boss wants to camp in their own AOEs as anytime the player pull out a bow it feels like the ai shifts to rushdown.
You know what my biggest fear is with this DLC? That there will be a Sleep/Frenzy Whetblade for infusions. Imagine a sleep infused banished knight greatsword true combo. Yikes. I’ve prepared eight builds nearly, just gotta finish off the Cover shooter build. It’s just so boring to play a wizard. And I get distracted by PVP. Looking forward to the builds and DLC streams. Hey Chase, I have a question, should we go into the DLC with unlimited rare consumables like starlight shards, golem arrows and meatballs? Uncomfortable without them but reduced difficulty with them
Bearer of the torch Seek runes. Larger, more powerful runes. Seek the queen, that is the only way. Lest the wizards swallow you whole... As it has so many others.
It so cool that you're able to stay calm and collected in all these fights, quickly switching out gear and just taking apart your enemies one at a time. How are you able to switch weapons and gear so quickly? Do you play with mouse and keyboard or controller?
Controller, he has said it in the past. And chase probably has over 5k hours in ds3 and elden ring if not more combined. Its gets easier to kill most gank squads when you spend all gaming time learning spacing and know every weapons moveset and how to counterplay/seperate phantoms. Menu swapping is not that hard to learn, hardest part is setting the inventory up to your liking and just learn from there. Claw both hands when hard swapping and viola, time and practice is all thats left.

It was only when I started playing Armored Core that I started changing my controller grip and added back buttons to handle jumping, dodging, aiming, moving and weapon control all at the same time. Looks like I need to build on that a bit more to learn menu quick swapping as well!
Im pretty much ready for the dlc. I need to beat Melania though because I want to bring Miquella’s needle into the dlc just in case. I also get the castanets from Patches, but that isn’t hard.

I agree, Ive been running a cold mist golem halberd on my colossal build. Its got big build up and the ash adds pressure and big hit box sweep 🧹❄️

oath of vengeance also works similar to endure by having a defense and poise buff. pretty good for trading both pvp and pve
It's a good AoW but you're stuck to the weapon, and with the hyperarmor update colossals doesn't really need the extra poise.
