That's so awesome that you're showing Columbia to your son and husband! My parents are trying to do the same thing for my little brother. We travel to our home-country (Moldova) whenever we can 🥳 Also, those cuero hats look so comfy and stylish! 😎👌😉
Thank you so much for your kind words. Oh my goodness! How exciting to take him and show him. Will you be recording when you visit? The hats are super well made. We loved them. Eventually we went back to buy more for gifts for family in Holland. Hope you are doing awesome!
It is a great informative video. We are planning a trip and it will be very helpful if you can add the name of the place you stay in, the restaurants, the company you use for the horse back riding. We are starting from 0 and it would be great to have this info.
Hola Sally, I’m glad you found it informative. I stayed with my family but there are so many beautiful hotels, boutique hotels and airbnbs to stay at. I have friends and family who have stayed at La Posada de Los Angeles since it’s super close to the plaza. I recommend staying within walking distance to the plaza since you’ll want to go there often. For the horseback riding I just happened to be at the plaza and one of the guys that does it approached us and we went with them. Their receipt says Enduro but if you go the plaza you’ll see lots of tours and people willing to take you. This video features El museo del chocolate which is a hotel, a restaurant and also a store. We did however eat at so many little places. Be sure to check out my Instagram: @teachercatalina you’ll see lots of places there too. We tend to go to Villa de Leyva without a set plan and just see what we find. Generally you can find all sorts of adventures just by walking the town. There’s an adventure park on the outside, an ostrich farm, the market, events at the plaza, 4x4 through the desert and lots of extreme sports. Be sure to check out 90 grados territorio aventura and ask for Victor. You can tell him I sent you. We have done lots of extreme sports with them like rappelling down a waterfall, tricky hikes and also 4x4. If you have any other questions I’m happy to help. So exciting to be planning a trip there. We love it. It’s totally magical.
Hola - the weather varies but in my opinion, coming from Florida it was never too hot. Actually more on the chilly, nice, comfortable side. I’d say 60s to mid 70s during the day and a bit cooler at night. Dress in layers. When you are in the sun it can be warm but in the shade you need a jacket. Enjoy!
