They are just Alternatives Reallities, they are connected by something called the Imaginary Tree or something like that in which each leaf is a universe, or so I've heard, but beside that they are not the same at all. They are their own thing, there is only ONE, HSR character that is the exact same from HI3rd but is not relevant, I didn't know when I started playing HSR and it didn't change anything. You can say is mostly for Lore Enthusiast who are deep in the hokaiverse, but if you don't know you can enjoy it still.
The red hair that looks like Himeko is also called Himeko, but like said before, a different one she is not the one who is the same in both games. But Don't think to much about it, is just AUs.
-If you want Jing Yuan he is in the current Feature Banner! Haha.
- Blade also cought my attention when he first came out, got him, and in his re-run got his "weapon" he is my best unit!!
- And yeah, Dan Hen Imbibitor Lunae is so cinematic because of story importance xd
- Ah, Argenti, what a meme Character fo us, there are recolour of him to match the Argentinian Flag. Argenti came out, and the "Argentina?" joke came to be haha (Just to inform as a funfact, Argenti is Silver in Latin)
- Dr. Ratio, also a meme character, because he was given for Free and because "L + Ratio"
And my Favourite characters are Sparkle, or Hanabi in Japanes, and Sampo, Masked Fools for the win!! (Sampo in the chibi in my pfp hehe)
And Sparkle is beyond being a Trickster, she is insane and we love her for it! So many theories surrounding her since we just met her for the first time. She must be Elation Emanator... She is also in the current feature banner and got her! I wanted copies or her "weapon" but she came to late on the pulls and now I'm poor...
I am just shocked how you can retain so much information about games, characters , story lines and much more , fair play to you !
What's the concept of a banner in the game ?
@@VictorNightroad Lol, is just that I Love Fiction and I'm a Story and Character creator myself. In general when is something I enjoy and like i can retain a lot.
I can't retain to Specific things, but overall plot points that make the overall story yes.
For example, I can retell the whole Kamen Rider Geats Story, but I won't be able to day in which episode things happened, once everything is reveal I automatically rearrange everything Chronologically. And is the story itself what I remember.
There are exception, like Geats Episode 40. But that's usually when something that I found impressive or fascinating happenes. Haha
Oh, you don't know? Haven't you play Gacha or RPG games before getting into Hoyoverse?
Because those types of games are a lot about "Character Collector", a "Banner" is where you use the Game Currency/Coin to get the Character highlighted on it. "Featured Banner" is when a specific Character gets an upgraded probability to be owned by the player (temporarilly).
Another word is "Promotional Character", basically for a week or two you have a higher chance to get that character in specific, after the time is up the character is gone and another one gets highlighted. There is where "Re-Runs" exists, which is when a character that was promoted before is back again.

You're pretty spot on with the explanation of the Imaginary Tree. I mean, it's a lot more complex than that and i could go on for hours about it but it's pretty much that.
You're also slightly incorrect. Three "characters" are from HI3. It's just that two of them haven't formally shown up yet. There's Welt Yang, who is playable, then there's Void Archives, whose whereabouts are unknown, and then there are the Ones Above, or Sky People, who are referenced in the archives but haven't shown up YET. They're the reason Welt is here in the first place.
Personaly i think i prefer english dub,i mean im a jp purist like most people but honkai star rail just has some really solid voice acting, while silver wolf is better in jp i think the rest of character have way better voice acting in english they just put out way emotion into their performance when they have to, it also helps that when you understand a langueg you better conenct and resonate with it and honkai star rail english voice acting is pretty amazing
I think En Sparkle does a way better job on that video then others for example, that elation line just hits diffrent
and the blindfold lady performance is just so good.
Also Honkai is originally a Chinese game anyway, so "JP purism" is kinda nonsensical in this case anyway. If one were to be an "original voices" purist, it'd be with the CN dubbing, not the JP one.
you can always check the EN versions of the trailers if you are confused about their names, in my opinion hearing them in EN gives bigger impression especialy bc some of the voice actors

so many people are against jp dub and its crazy let the man enjoy the game how he wants if he wants to try EN he can do it in future. just cuz some of u resonate more with EN doesnt mean every one else also does ( some of us(me) play in jp is cuz its more comforting in my ear than korean and chinese and its a lot less cringe than en when i dont know what they are saying while in combat)

I am Chinese, and I prefer CN dub. I used to prefer JP, though, and I think that EN dub is also very amazing.

Beside the fact that HoYo games have amazing dub in all languages, I think part of the reason why many HSR players prefer EN dub over JP dub even if they normally watch anime and other games in JP is because of the space-setting and the nature of long-quest.
HoYoVerse' games are usually have hours long quest line (I'm talking about more than 4 hours long quests, the longest I spent on one HoYo quest is almost 10 hours), most people can't keep their 100% attention for that long, they either need to get up and do something else while listening to the quest in their native language or have to sit for hours reading the dialog.
Of course, this is not always the case if you know how to pace yourself, like cutting quests into part.
However, this is hard to do for most HoYo player because they make sure to make you curious about what will happened next which keep you from stop progressing the story.
Plus, many people are casual players, they have to work almost everyday and the long quest line wouldn't help them relax, thus, they leave those long quest for a one-sitting on their day-off, of course they would choose to listen to their native language.
Lastly, unlike JP VAs, most EN VAs play the game and even streaming it (JP VA industry works very different from EN, streaming games like that is usually "un-professional" or going against their work contracts unless they are required to do so). This help the community get closer to the VA and also strengthening their bond with the character with the VA's language since you can found traces of your character in them. You'd be surprise how many VA shared the same braincell with their characters (not always the case so don't take it too far, they are not the same person, characters are just PNG).

I think it's a matter of personal preference at the end of the day! Tbh I haven't heard the eng dub but I see alot of people say its good so it must be good , I watch all things animated with a jap dub because I understand partially japanese and its my personal opinion the VA's in jap are better , they have a more competitive industry and I think that reflects on the VA's performance overall , but than again that's just my opinion ! But some how some way I find myself liking HSR in English dub more ATM
