Very nice radio and glad to see that it has LW feature on it despite the technology is very much phased out. Hope that BBC Radio 4 transmissions are retained for more years at least. Thanks for sharing 73!
It's hard to buy a radio with the SW band on it these days from the shops in the UK. I think the Vido FM radio is the only one you can buy from Poundland as far as I am aware. Tescos took their Worldband radio off the shelves in 2021. I think it is another type of censorship by removing radios with the LW/SW band on them, because they don't want you to hear someone else's opinion from another country. You have to buy a radio with the SW band on it online.
Shortwave is a niche hobby these days so next to impossible finding a brand new SW radio on the high street. The last proper shortwave radio I saw on sale in the shops here in the UK was a Eton G6 in Maplins almost ten years ago.
Quite sad about the demise of LW. Doesn’t seem that long ago I could dx about 12 stations on there, but once the Czech station left it’s been a slow exodus with others following. The Denmark interval signal will be greatly missed by DX’ers. There is an online petition to keep BBC R4 on 198 but no doubt they will do as they please either way. It has flawless coverage in the entire U.K. and beyond and could be needed one day. The importance of LW was proven when Polski Radio was used to get news to Ukrainians at the beginning of the conflict when internet services were going down. But hey, what do us radio guys know? 😉 Nice video, 73 Franco
With the replacement transmitter parts for Longwave supposedly becoming much harder to obtain, it is no surprise that stations are leaving the band. Also the money saved is another thing. Thank you for the compliments & 73s.

Can you listin 243 kHz Kalundborg from Denmark? 73!
Yes & I can see you checked out my reception video. 73s.
Even FM has nothing now just GHR , R1 , R2 , Heart and my own TX is all I pick up. there is also Radio Essex but its regional now
I can get a couple of community stations on FM and they're a bit more interesting than the corporates - album tracks and rarities.
All Roberts radios have something in their sound that always gives me a headache. Can't pinpoint what.
