    Beautifully resonant and full of body and clarity. Just top shelf stuff sir. Would much rather have "Stephanie" than an overpriced R9. Well done sir. Well done.

    Sounds great! It's got the 'ping' sound that '58s, 59's and 60's have (according to Joe Bonamassa) which means you've done a good job.

    I’ve got a guitar with sunburst urethane finish.
    Do you think it is possible with care to rub down the Urethane and then refinish in nitrocellulose without loosing the cherry sunburst colour please, or better to completely strip or just leave as is?
    Love your work and envy your skill and patience.

    • @8BombCustom
      @8BombCustom  2 года назад

      Hello. Thank you. If you remove the varnish, then it will certainly be removed with the paint, as it is one piece. Polyurethane varnish is removed with acetone or chiter. But the guitar will have to be completely repainted.

    You make that blues junior breakup nicely. Very good tone. Beautiful looking and sounding guitar. How’s she play? How do you have the action set?

    • @8BombCustom
      @8BombCustom  2 года назад +1

      In this video, the guitar is not completely detached yet. The action is very low and the neck is even, as it has not yet had time to bend. Thin strings are too loud, because the pickups are not quite correctly adjusted. After a couple of days, everything fell into place. Soon I will publish a video of how it sounds without connection to amp. This is an interesting experiment.

      @@8BombCustom I can’t wait to here it now that everything has settled. I know there is a breaking in period where all of the components are learning to work together and I could tell you were maybe using a set of .09’s. Yet you were still able to get some solid tones out of a difficult amp already. I’ll bet unplugged she rings like a bell

    • @8BombCustom
      @8BombCustom  2 года назад +1

      I always use the standard set of Ernie Ball 10-46 strings, in my opinion this is optimal for a truthful perception of the whole construction. My Junior has been tweaked a bit and sounds clean and honest enough for optimal pickup and wood tone. I have been looking for such an option for a workshop for a long time to clearly hear the nuances in the production of pickups and track patterns. So far, he's doing well. Of course, each amplifier has its own influence on perception. But we recognize our native and familiar voice even through the intercom speaker. The experiment with recording the acoustic sound of this guitar exceeded my expectations. For a very long time I wondered how to honestly convey in recordings and videos what a musician feels and hears when listening to an unconnected guitar. And it succeeded. This was helped by a magnetic tablet pickup with a very flat frequency response for acoustic guitars. Swiss company. Awesome device and very useful. Straight like stethoscope.

    Алексей! Если не затруднит, русскую дорожку бы вообще приглушить. Т.к. разные темп и интонация речи у тебя и у переводчика, то наши традиционные мягкие шипящие и ударные гласные "выстреливают" в паузах английской речи...
    А насчёт гитары, то очень крутой получилась. На бендах даже было слышно трение о лад, и в целом воздушно, но не легковесно. Респект!
