Just grabbed myself one today and boy oh boy. For my first time pouring a guinness, it would seem I was born for it. Had a dome that looked like bloody St Paul's on the top, creamy as you like.
Hahaha love it 😂 enjoy mate 🍻#bringthedomehome
Dome like St. Paul's 😂classic!
I like your attitude. First time ever pouring a Guinness and you’re like “nailed it” 😂
Love your videos, they have been a safe heaven for my mental health these last few nights ❤️
Got my Nitrosurge for Christmas, really impressed for a DIY Guinness, would definitely recommend
Great video, straight to the point.
Unbelievable!!
I am in complete awe of this invention.
I bow to this complete genius!
Thank you. 🙏🏽
Great upload lads, always good to see yiz in Dublin 🇮🇪 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Great stuff . Ive been sharing the love for this too 😀
I’ve just got mine and it’s incredible. Follow the instructions to the letter and the results speak for themselves
I heard Tesco are now selling these gadgets. To be honest a good selling point for Guinness would be to give these away free with a box of 18 cans or some other kinda gimmick like say the tokens from the cardboard box 📦 or something like that..
Can I use a standard draught can with the nitro surge. I have been piercing the top of the can with a needle to stop the widget from firing off
Do you need a specific can for this? We only have the nitro cans in New Zealand.
This little device is an amazing game changer. It produces a perfect creamy pint of Guinness at home every single time. Perfection ♥
Thank for the “how to” vid. I’ve managed to get hold of one today, cans chilling looking forward to a Friday night pint. Cheers.
Sláinte 😁🍻
Great video as always, convinced me on buying one. Thanks
Cheers, enjoy 🍻
Bought a nitrosurge a few weeks ago...a total game changer!!! Love it...makes an awesome pint!!
i sometimes pierce a regular can of Guinness and let the air out very slowly so the widget won't go off then crack the can open and use the surger unit, works perfectly every time, no bubbles. handy if you don't have the surger cans🤔
does it work on 440ml or the 'pint' cans you can buy best?
this works perfect
Just tried this myself. I was sceptical at first but it really does do a great job. Makes the pint so creamy, almost like a pub pint. Excellent invention.
Just l bought one today, looking forward to using it
Bought one and it arrived yesterday but iam on nights for 3 more days so cant drink a guiness yet but iam so looking forward to Wednesday when i can and to using it the first time.
Gave in a bought this yesterday, first pint from it tonight. Oh my lord think I’m gonna need a second fridge😂
Can only get the device in the states through Amazon, sadly. No nitrosurge cans sold here
This is awesome. I have one , but only have the 530ml cans at the mo . Hard to find the pint cans in the uk
Cheers Tesco …. Got the proper cans now 😊
just need to hope my tesco in scotland keeps anough cans in stock very impresed
Thank you for producing such an informative video. I am pouring perfect pints every time.
Thanks mate, glad you liked it 🍻
Good video. Wish I had watched it before I reviewed it. Lol. But then I like doing firsts without watching other videos. But at least I know now. 😁
Thanks mate! Yeah always best to go in without influence from other opinions 😁
I bought one of these. I'm still struggling to pour the perfect pint without the bubbles in my glass.
Terrific video, guys. Have to say that your videos have actually got me into keeping an eye out for Guinness! Not sure if I could stretch to buying a Nitrosurge but maybe in the future.
Glad you liked it! Cheers 🍻
I got one mate best thing i ever done well worth the price of it for a decent guiness at home
Just bought one today will use it later@@covlad2009
Great content, as always, lads.
Thanks mate! 😁
Big fan of this, had it a few years now. Funny how you use it differently to the instructions though!! 🤣🤣🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️
So is the idea to get it pouring slowly as possible? And also to create more foam?
Just poured my first pint with the Nitro surge ❤
Bought one today and it felt like a pint from my local! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sorry to hear that
Another class vid :)
Thanks mate!
how do you get the shamrock into the head
You have to use the special cans though, is that correct?
Wish I could get these in Canada.
You can use the normal draft cans. Gently tap a pin into the ring pull, and leave a few minutes. Open the can slowly, and the widget will stay at the bottom. OK, it's not quite as good as the nitro cans but not far off it.
This was a really informative video from the creator himself. Thank you!
Iv tried one but isn't the same as the pints I had in dublin this year .iv tried every guiness I can get my hands on in wales in pubs and shops just can't get that creamy quality! Just want to move to dublin.
I have bought this device on this video alone and have no regrets. One thing I will say is the contrast between the light caramel cloud and settle that this guy gets (and most others I’ve seen) and mine is night and day, my cloud is extremely darker than this 😅
The key is the white foamed glass all the way down, class 👍
Got as a xmas gift. After a little practice i get a consistently good pint from it. Keep the device clean and a good charge. Not even used the official ns cans neither only pin pricked draught cans
I can get the dome with a single pour from a can. I used to be a barman. It's just technique.
With the 538ml cans, chill it so it's almost freezing. Get a nice clean glass with no drilled widget at the bottom. Crack the can, let the instant bubbles die down.
Then the glass needs to go about 80 degrees, almost horizontal. Then quickly do the can at about 80 degrees as well, it needs to be that way so that air can rush into the opening on the can so it doesn't glug. Then just keep it that way for almost the full fill of the glass, but gradually drop the angle of both the glass and the can.
Once that's done the head will look really small but will have a dome, however as the Guinness grows in the glass the head will build up.
Perfect pints of Guinness every time.
In regards to the rest dot awards the judges thought we award Guinness, free pints for us 😉
Wow that's awesome lads
Thanks 👍
It's such an Amazing tool, for people who are a bit skeptical to buy, it's definitely worth it. It's the closest thing youll get to the real thing if like me you can't get a decent Guinness in your local. (I live in Czechia) the only downside is that it's hard to get the nitrosurge cans if you don't live in the uk
Can always chug when you put it above horizontal
When is this planned to come to the States? im interested in one for sure
Have you found out why the Guinness micro draught is available in uk but not Ireland. I have one but have to get the cans sent from Dublin to uk and back to Belfast
We’re not sure but can investigate 👀
They can be bought in dundalk tesco
I’ve been using the nitro surge since last year it’s gorgeous, but it’s a little expensive, anyway when will they sell it in a dozen cans instead of a six pack, or better still an 18 pack 😊
I know I sound stupid but what does he mean above the horizontal?
The last few times I have poured one I have not got a dome head, and there hasn’t been slightly extra in the can as they speak of, what am I doing wrong? :(
Having a similar issue but I'm achieving the 'domage' but on quite a thin head. From what I can tell in this video, he straightness up the glass pretty quickly and doesn't hold at 45° for too long.
Make sure ur hitting the side of the glass don't pour from height as well if it's cooler than 6 degrees can get a smaller head make sure the device is fully charged aswell. Trial and error
@@ANON29421 I trial and errored it many times over the weekend, and seem to have it sussed now - I also find leaving the can at room temperature for 20ish mins seems to help (guessing that's to do with the 6 degrees).
Do you use hot or cold water to rinse the nitro surge before the pour? Class video very informative 👌🏻👍🏻
Cold water does the job
@@MrHITACHI75 you don't know that
My grandfather worked for Guinness for over 30 years. Back then they were allowed to drink on the job. They were given tokens and they had a staff bar...He became a raging alcoholic.
I bought 4 cans but I don’t have the device lol. Cans sat in the fridge overnight so I’m going to go find a device today.
are you pouring straight from fridge or leaving for like 20-30 mins ?
I'm looking for the answer for that myself 😂
ive done the last 5 pours leaving can 30 mins and its perfect
@@XerifeUK_TgA
Just used mine and if I hadn’t of poured it myself, I’d of sworn it came fresh from a tap, amazing little gadget 👍
What does he mean by above the horizontal? Cheers
Was thinking the same
@@taylorkerkham3156 Horizontal would be the can laying flat. As in, if you knock the can over it's horizontal. Beyond would be continuing to tip the can past that angle. More simply, hold the can and glass exactly as demonstrated here.
Nice vid guys. I know this and the cans are in tesco over here. I'm sure I've seen somewhere on RUclips, that due to the cost of the nitrosurge cans, thet pierced the top of a normal draught can with a pin. This allows you to open the can without setting the widget off. Then open the can and use the surger.
Its £8 for 4 cans, so £2 a pint this good in the house is well worth it!!
@@CowzaSoze £5.79 for 4 cans in lidl etc doing the pin method👍
What do they mean by "above the horizontal"?
This?
When am I going to be able to get a nitro surge in California. I miss my smooth Guinness. From Desperate in USA
Does the gravity glass make the difference 🤔
Have tried numerous times with holding the can horizontal and above the horizontal but still get alot of bubbles after the second pour and looks nothing like in any videos on here
It's like the moon landings, trick of the camera.
My brother in-law bought me one this week for my birthday. Just had 4 cans. Unreal. Better than most pints you get in England, apart from some stand out places like Mulligans in Manchester etc. Not long been back from a Dublin session so maybe I’m killing pints I. England a bit unfairly. Tonight my nitro surge was creamy., had Schtick, and domeo and Juliette on top.
More importantly, Charlie and Séan, keep up the great work lads. Love it. sláinte lads.
Do love Mulligan's but at £6.90 a pint and getting a nitrosurge device for xmas will definitely decrease my visits there!
interesting. why is his guidance to hold the can above the horizontal, when the guidance that comes with the device says keep the can on the horizontal? and the lacing will never ever match a draught pint. it always looks ok at first, but then fades away to nothing. that said, ive got a nitrosurge and i do like it.
Damn sight better than the pint you get in some pubs. Why does the pint of Guinness vary so much from pub to pub? I emailed Guinness about the quality of a pint of Guinness in a well known pub in Dublin. They emailed me back but it still tastes as bad as it did all those months ago. If you complain about the pint in this particular pub you most probably would be barred
Interesting, we didn’t notice that!
@@micheal2733 we’ve got a Q&A with Steve regarding quality coming out this week. Hopefully should answer some of people queries!
Yeah its totally different from instructions. Instructions also say that the button doesn't need pressed because it is activated automatically which is actually lies. It looks nice but not sure it actually tastes nicer than draught cans. Though the fact it actually fills a pint glass is almost worth it on its own.
@@theguinnesseursdid he answer them?
It’s the closest thing you’ll ever come to from an actual pint from tap much cheaper to buy a few of these than going to the pub these days
€15 in SuperValue till the end of Christmas. If you like a pint of Guinness but hate the bottles and cans with a wick. This is a god send
The worst thing about this product is how good it is.
Everytime I pour a pint I want to down the whole thing after the first gulp
Tesco are selling these as clearance items for £15. Worth a punt….
What’s the tilt for?
Just to see how thick and creamy the head is. You tilt the glass and the head should stay thick and not flow over the side of the glass
Feel stupid for even having to ask but... what does "above the horizontal" actually mean?
@alfredo8092. I think it just means that you keep the back end of the can tilted up and not ever hold can horizontal.
Question : Should the Glass be also dry in addition to washing the glass before pouring the Guinness ?
Yes a dry glass helps get the creamy lacing down the glass!
@@theguinnesseurs why is that
I dont have the patience for that! 60 seconds settle time? 😅
❤
Worst invention ever, the amount of Guinness I go through a weekend with mine is unreal 😂
wish they had of wrote on the box not to surge on top up, I've been doing it wrong this whole time😅
It's written in the manual, or did you not bother to read it.
@@TheAndy25026 actually the instructions say not to turn on for second pour because it will start automatically. I assumed from this that I must be doing something wrong when it wasn't coming on. Also the instructions specifically say to hold the can horizontal at the start which apparently is also wrong
👍
I’ve never tasted Guinness before and this has convinced me to order a device and pack of cans!
Sláinte 🍻
Mike, where you from come to Ireland the North and the South
Gobshite
Liked the machine worked great. Then just becomes unreliable, it randomly doesn’t surge the Guinness wash before and after each use. Really annoying
Sell the cans in England please
In Tesco now! 🍻
Ive always turned it back on again. 🤦
I’ve just tried mine bra 💅🤙🏽
Steve didn't invent it, he's just head of marketing or whatever.
Guinness 🎉 Vishnu
You said you set the timer for 30 seconds. How is this done .
It’s automatically set to 30 seconds 🍻
@@theguinnesseurs Thank you.
I bet that tasted lovely 🤤🤤
Can confirm…it did! 😂
Guinness original was a superior quality product to the diluted nitrogenated stuff now mislabled 'draught'
All connoisseurs and beer enthusiasts remember this if old enough to make a valid comparison.
Wonderful stuff until you check out the price of one of these, sorry but at £30 no thanks
That isn't much if it does make a difference.
£30 for the device. Narr
And the reason for this is ?……
It's the same tech as the Fizzics machine and similiar.. he invented nothing just stole ideas
I’ve never had a can of Guinness that didn’t taste like watery shite so I’ll just stick to the pubs
The nitrosurge is over rated. You can pour a perfect pint from a standard draught can by putting the can upside down entirely in the glass. The taste for me is nicer from the standard draught can.
Ya’s aren’t as good as the Guinness Guru .Have ya’s thought of doing a video with him?
Dont buy. Its a massive gimmick
Its a piece of shit absolute waste of money
You're seething cos you dunno how to do it
what a load of bs - no more than another marketing bs buzzword.
Have you even tried it to form your opinion? Doubt it
Can you use the regular tins of guiness with the widget cheers..
you mean the the widget cans? google pin trick guinness for nitro surge
It's not that hard to pour a Guinness. Even from a can it's pretty simple and this device is next to pointless
