    "Nobody watches our channel."
Well, I did. Badflower brought me here. I am a 37 year old father of two and this song never fails to speak to me. Feelings of guilt- personally, as a son and as a father. And I have to agree, a lot of Badflower songs are not something you just throw on and listen to casually. Some of their content is made to just be experienced, at least in my opinion. I adore this band. Cheers!

@ Nathan - I'm saying this as a major Badflower fan:: You don't have to apologize for not liking a song, especially not when it comes to Badflower. Their music definitely isn't for everyone, though some songs get a lot of love and attention (like Ghost - the last one you reacted to) Josh and the other members of the band write genuine lyrics about things they really care about, and to expect to love all the material - especially if you don't see yourself in it - is silly. It's understandable to not like some of it. That's music and art and Badflower.
@ Ryan - You got it though 100%. Even as someone on the kid side of the situation (even though I'm an adult now) it was nice to hear a parents take on it. And I love that you love and appreciate the emotions that get put into their lyrics and performances. Not everyone appreciates that and it kinda sucks.
So all their lyrics are genuine, they don't sugar coat anything, but they do turn it into some more upbeat songs sometimes. They also turn it into darker stuff, like from the point of view of a terrible person. Which is brilliantly done but does make them seem like awful people if you don't know anything about the band lol. Throwing that warning out there if you ever encounter the songs 'Stalker' or 'Girlfriend'.
More upbeat songs:: Don't Hate Me (super fun music video), xANAx (another fun music video), 30, Fukboi, Sasshole, D*e ( this is just anger in a bottle, and political so avoid if that isn't your jam), Teacher Has a G*n (their newest song)
More emotional songs:: The Jester, Promise Me, Tethered
Other great songs that fall somewhere in there:: Everyone's An A**hole, Machine G*n, and Animal
Thanks for reacting to these guys!!

These guys are so good. So many good songs, Promise Me, Jester, Move Me, Wide Eyes, White Noise, Let The Band Play, Girlfriend and my under the radar pick would be Machine Gun.

No worries Bearded Guy (:P) on not being the biggest fan of the song. Everyone has their own opinions on things, you're not heartless! I was an emo teen with severe mental health problems a decade ago (doing much better now) so the songs Badflower leans more emo I just eat it right up, haha (though you are right they're not an "emo band" - they're def more of a rock band) and I agree with Green Shirt Guy that I am a sucker for emotive songs, too, and Josh Katz (and all the rest of the band tbh) just does it so well - as a songwriter and a performer. I also really appreciated the parent perspective from Ryan here because though I am a young parent, I never considered how that would feel from the parent's POV and it made me listen to the song from a new perspective.

Their early stuff like jester and move me was the best, also loved white noise. First album was nearly perfect. This album is just pretty good. I would suggest checking out jester, move me, white noise, and some of the older stuff.
