This band is like the most underrated. Everyone will recommend Ghost, but they have loads of brilliant, sort of quirky songs. ‘30’, ‘Promise Me’, ‘Move Me’, so many.

In my 46 years of studying music, this song came out of nowhere and kicked me in the face! I have been listening to these guys for a few weeks now and they are quite talented. It isn't my usual 'cup of tea', but I think Josh and these boys have something special going on. I am curious about this new album that is about to drop. Peace!!

Fuck. Me. Holy shit, bro. _Thank you_ for putting a powerful enough title/teaser/thumbnail to get me to click on this on a whim. Thank you for putting that heavy filter on it (which I'm sure you had to) to make me check out the original to take it in unblemished.
What a... yeah: Raw, brutally honest, powerful song. I felt every word. I fucking _knew_ every word, like I wrote the song myself, like it was pouring from my soul.
Sometimes reaction channels are just _magical._
    Thanks.
And... now I'll watch your reaction to it, lol. Once I stop crying, anyway...

Good shout giving that little speech in the middle, you were completely right about what you said and people do need to hear that. I found this band when Ronnie Radke mentioned them on one of his streams and showed a few of their songs. He said they were underrated and he was right. If you choose to react to another one from them, it's got to be "Ghost." That is without a doubt their most powerful and emotional song.

I'm always happy when bands put out important messages like this. It helps people realize they are not alone. Depression, addiction...they make you feel isolated. To know other people get it is so important. I remember when I first heard Ghost, about suicide, I cried. So many words resonated. Thanks for that message in the middle.

  • @janalea2212
    @janalea2212 2 года назад +10

Thanks for that peptalk. I guess you are right, this song hits home for a lot of people, but the lyrics just show one side of the story. They arise from a feeling while the writer was inside it and they put it all into the song and later switch to a state where things feel different again. I think it's great how Josh is brave enough to show this fragment of himself to the world and yet still like you said, it is important to remember that it isnt neccessarily the truth and it passes.

The first Badflower song that percolated into my sphere of attention was "The Jester", released a couple years ago. It's also a very powerful song with an equally powerful video, and still a mainstay in my playlists. Absolutely worth checking out.

Jesus, dude. Your speech was just as moving as the song. I've been there and back more than enough times to know that it does fade, and it gets better, and I wouldn't do anything rash...

I like your message. I love these musicians, precisely because they speak those truths nobody ever wants to say out loud. And I had a rough childhood, and can relate to how far down the rabbit hole of anger and despair and self-loathing a person can go. I'm out the other side of that, but it still speaks to me.

I liked that you stopped the video to offer some input about going through it.
This song speaks to me but I'm not going through anything. It just stirs up feelings of childhood / teen years (I'm in my 50's) I think it's a good thing to go back and touch those feelings sometimes. In a positive way you can, like I do, view it as a life marker. Like, hey, I went through this and I made it through.

God I remember feeling like this about 6 years ago. Some shit happened and it took me years to heal and get passed it and tbh I still don't trust my family the way I used to before. It is better, though, and we do have a healthy relationship now. I'm gonna have to save this on spotify and check out some of his music people keep suggesting in the comments. Its not everyday a song hits hard. Like this isn't my style of music but the lyrics are just so honest and raw.

"X Ana X", also by Badflower, is the most poignant song about anxiety I think I have ever heard. They perfectly encapsulate the mess of thoughts that go on as the song adds more and more as it goes along until there are so many thoughts and threads going on in the background it's almost difficult to follow. "Oh, you wanna know what my head is like all the time? As a lot of others have mentioned, "Ghost" is a great song by them too.

Wow. This is why we are drawn to this music bc we feel like someone understands... I wish I could stop yelling those things at myself.
It is rrue deep deep pain doesnt last forevee. I tried to unalive muself kn 2014 and I thought I was out of the woods as far as sjicidal thoughts go...and last week I got extremely sick with a very high fever. Nobody checked how I was doing but my mom who is my only family and I told her I was doing very good...the fever got higher I was hallucinating and I decided to not seek medical help and let the infection kill me. Like my father died.
Thankfuĺy my body started fkghting back and 10 days after this madness started I went to the ER.
