- Rebuilt from run ending carnage, the XRT is sporting some Epic new hop ups thanks to M2C Racing. Between the silky smooth center driveshaft kit, motor mount, Wide kit, bell crank, wing mount, O-ring style pistons, and new beefcake 24mm Surelock lugs, this XRT is a Beast with big power. Shout out to Ben and Ben Jr. for stopping to hit the ramp with me!!!

After rewatching parts of this several times, I have got to know more from you about why you chose the 25/30 gearing setup. Why not the 30/30, 30/35, or even the 33/26. The 33/26 would give the most speed possible right? I also imagine would be wayy to much strain on the motor for bashing. Your XRT seems pretty damn fast, and reliable! Curious what kind of top speed you have!
Traxxas is claiming 60mph from their 23/46 gearing on their OEM motor and esc. I can only imagine your setup is probably good for easily over 70mph in reality!
I went with 25/30 Vitavon 1.5 gears because I'd been running them on my XMaxx with the 1100 5687 HW for awhile and it's done awesome 😱. Temps have been very manageable and speed has been off the hook 🚀🚀

I live in the same area go check out a place in west sac right at the Sacramento yacht club huge hidden BMX jumps and plenty of wide open spots to rip in that area off S river rd and village pkwy. I would also like to bounce some ideas off your head about actually having a RC park. I was thinking the Rocklin park there is that huge lot right at the skate park get some events going maybe fast tracks will sponsor. Just trying to bring more attention to an amazing hobby.

Thanks so much Kyle 🤗. Yeah my buddy Ian found that S. River spot in West Sac awhile ago. We tried to shape up the jumps and pulled tons of weeds. Haven't been there in awhile, but have that spot in a few of my vids during group sessions 🚀🚀. A bash park in the area would be epic. Probably need to take it up with Rocklin parks department. If you just start building jumps, someone will likely spoil the party. There's a decent amount of foot traffic nearby for frisbee golf...etc. The space is there, but the city would have to be on board. I've seen lots of jump spots get flattened through the years. Dwight at Fast Track would be supportive if it was done through the proper channels through city parks. The alternative would be on private property with the land owners full blessing. 🍻

Hey Rich, couldn't m2c try making an aluminum version of that center strip running down the bottom of the chassis? Or is it just better to make a brace/bashbar
That would be a good idea for a speed rig (the metal or aluminum center skid plate) bud but for bashing i dont think it would be ideal as metal dosent flex. But the bash bar works amazing for the X-Maxx so im glad to hear m2c is working on some new stuff for the xrt. Its a badass rig
@@williamnutting9369 yeah, I know the metal definitely doesn't flex much, part of why my hobao still has all stock bracing
I think it will be better overall to design a skid/chassis support that strengthens the chassis and bulkhead connection points. There's very complex attachment points under the stock skid and replacing it will aluminum would add significant weight and likely contribute to other issues. 🍻

What kit did you use? I have a lot of money into my XRT just to do some jumping with it. Hate the idea of another upgrade for this.
Hey Brother 🤗. I wanted standard 24mm hexes that were wide enough to run whatever large scale wheel I wanted. The dboots Backflips wouldn't clear the upper A arms during full turning without an aftermarket hex extender. I absolutely love this setup 🤩. Still running my M2C axels and hexes (they pair together) and love the stance. if M2C can do plastic, maybe they can do a complete bottom skid plate with no holes?
Thats a great idea but if im not correct i think the holes on the bottom are for motor heat dissipation. That potentially could work though

Thanks so much Brother 🤗. If I have a dry sand bash, I simply air compress and get out the granite rocks and shards. For wet bashing she gets a full shower afterwards with 50/50 mix of water and Simple Green, rinse, dry, and hit all bearings and hinge pins with Silicone Spray. Sand isn't as bad as fine construction dirt and dust. 🍻
Anyway you could maybe show me how to install the ESC plate?
The curved mount footing goes on the side facing the motor. Avery show's the mount orientation briefly in his M2C Racing video in the product description on the website. You want to mount the esc to the plate (bottom screws) prior to mount install onto the truck using the available existing holes. Hope this helps 🤗

Yes indeed Matthew. I use Rite Aid premium soft. Just have to pack them in methodically in smaller pieces like puddy. The diff still has plenty of action, but works much better than 20mil CST. 🍻 www.riteaid.com/shop/rite-aid-pharmacy-silicone-ear-plugs-6-pair

The Freshpark ramp is super sturdy. My buddies all have high praise for it. 🍻
So the upper front bulkhead is not the same as on the xmaxx? I ordered the xmaxx cause it had the same number-code
Traxxas screwed up with the manual 😝. The front XRT bulkhead is 7720X. It's got 2 extra raised bolt holes to secure the top brace onto.
Curious to the diff oil weight selection. Why 500k up front and 200k out back and not the reverse?
I've found the bashers handle and turn better with the heavier front vs rear diff fluids. Same principals with race buggy and truggy set ups. 🍻.

Rich how do you think a castle 800kv and max 4 would do in an xrt compared to your setup?
Don't do it Brother 👀. Stick with a lighter set-up that still hauls ass for bashing 👌. Way more agile with less chance of gears and other parts failing. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I got my Kraton 6 v5 and it’s great but my center diff started leaking what a good way to prevent diffs from leaking.
Could just have to tighten 4 screws that attach the spur gear to the diff cup 🤔. I typically check or replace my diff fluids sooner than later. 500k center is my preferred in the K6s. TEKJO out of Canada sells awesome replacement ARRMA diff gaskets on eBay. 🍻
