Hello, i have a similar problem. I accidently knocked into my driver side power mirror and now it wont operate. The motor runs fine but the gear has either slipped or broken. Now i can 3d print the gear, but i want to be sure if i can access it, as in if the whole thing can be dismantled like you have shown. I am in India and have a 2007 civic. The mirror looks exactly like yours. Thanks in advance. Any help is appreciated.
Should it fold manually with the broken gear? Mine won't fold automatically with the button on the door, but i can obviously fold it manually. I'm asking cause I disassembled both my back covers of both mirrors, and don't know what but something happened and now my passenger's side mirror is folding ( by pressing the button ) a little bit more than before, but still stopping. I was 100% sure the problem was the SOD device, but now i'm thinking the problem could be something else.
