Thank you Blues Boy jag for my first guitar ( it turns 5 in March 2024) it sounds so good acoustically and I never hardly plug in but it's burning hot single coils stand up and take names when I do,,I thank you forever💜🔥
Love Shane's raga scale !! I took guitar lessons as a kid in the '60's but my teacher had no interest in rock'n'roll so I quit (I hated those Mel Bay instruction books). In the mid 2,000's I came across Shane and thought "whoaaaa, that's the ticket!" Now I build'em, I give'em away, I sell'em AND I play rock'n'roll!!

Hi Michael, I'm not an instrument builder myself. I'm just a filmmaker who found the subject interesting. There is a lot of information online. Here are some places to start: cigarboxnation.com/ www.shanespeal.com/ www.cbgitty.com/
also suitcase basses, cookie tin banjos, hubcap dobros, toolbox dulcimers, pie tin dulcitars, beer can strumsticks, calabash mandolins, and hand gun case violins
The narrator is actually Dr. Bill Foster of Florence, Alabama. The documentary was prepared for broadcast on Alabama Public Television and many people here in Alabama knew Bill through his music. www.timesdaily.com/archives/bill-foster-renowned-actor-musician-and-teacher-dies/article_595bc799-abaa-5027-9f27-a084e3ba0710.html

I know it was on a CD, but now that Gerry has passed away I'm not sure how one would get a copy of the CD.
